Suhaib Al Rumi was an Arab from Iraq, he belonged to Al Nimir Arabian tribe. But when he was enslaved by the Romans, he was 5 years old so he almost forgot Arabic and Started to speak Greek.
Further, though Persians used to Rule Iraq but still Iraq as a geographical land has and had its own name which is “Iraq” or “the land between two rivers”
And Iraq originally Babylonian but Persians conquered it and ruled its original people
