A short summary-
•He was the seventh person to accept islam
•Al arqam 's house plays a very significant role in the life of prophet SAW
•He was barely a teenager nearby 14 yrs of age
•He was a very quiet young man
•He inherited a home from his father that was located right next to as-safa(mountain where the prophet saw first called out to islam publically)
•Al-arqam 's father's name is Abd mana'f ibn Asad ibn Umar ibn makhzum
•Tribe of Banu makhzum which was also the tribe of Abu jahl
•Banu makhzum was the rival tribe to Banu Hashim (Prophet's tribe)
•He never made his islam public
•There was a narrow alleyway from as- safa to Darul arqam that allowed people to enter it without being seen
•It was here where some verses of Qur'an were also revealed.
•Many like Amar ibn Yasir (r.a.),suhaib(r.a.) ,Hamza(r.a.) and Umar (r.a.) accepted islam in this house
•Al arqam hosts the prophet saw in his house without being suspected
•He made the hijrah to Medina with prophet saw in the year 622 along with the other companions
•The prophet saw granted him a special home from the spoils in az zuraik in medina
•He fought every battle alongside the prophet saw - Badr,uhud ,khandaq
•He lived through the era of all of Khulifa e rashidun
•His janazah was lead by sa'd ibn abi waqqas (r.a.)
•His one wish when he passed away was that his home would not be sold
•Al arqam was a lesson of selflessnes, sacrifice and using one's position and how even a quiet soldier in the back could be so instrumental for the cultivation of islam by the prophet

I never thought Arqam is a companion. I thought maybe Darul Arqam was a symbolic name. But Allah will definitely reward his servant, even if people forget.

I can remember the small gatherings in the masjids where we discussed about Islam during my safar with Tableeg Jam'at, that increased my realization, spirituality and sensibility so much!

8 major benefits of Astaghfar in the Quran.
1. It opens the doors of mercy.
The Quran says, “Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver.”[Quran 71:10]
2. It will give you wealth and children.
The Quran says, “And give you increase in wealth and children.” [Quran, 71:12]
3. A Believer’s Dua gets accepted.
There’s nothing better for a believer that all the duas that he or she makes in hopes that they will one day get accepted by their lord, actually get fulfilled. Astagfirullah has the power to make a Muslim’s duas get accepted.
4. Astagfar provides sustenance.
The Quran says, “Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good provision for a specified term and give every doer of favour his favour” [Quran, 11:3]
5. A Muslim is not punished while they seek forgiveness.
The Quran says, “And Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness ” [Quran, 8:33]
6. Allah will send the rain of mercy.
The Quran says, “He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers.” [Quran, 71:11]
7. Adding strength in our lives.
The Quran says, “. . . ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in showers and increase you in strength [added] to your strength.” [Quran 11:52]
8. Allah will provide you with gardens and rivers.
The Quran says, “. . . and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.” [Quran, 71:12]
