I love playing Bayo. I'm not very good, but when I land the one or two combos I can pull off, it feels so good. Plus, she's just really cool as a character :) Never played her games though
I still play her and I have to say she has no potential when someone learns how to SmashDI out of all of her combos and punish her did you know that she is the only character that has extra landing lag when you use any move in the air and it’s stakes and it starts with more than 1 Ariel We’re do you see the potential
@@redprince7179 As a Bayo main I definitely have to disagree, Bayonetta is a lot more interesting in this game because learning to read sdi is part of the character now. Also the extra landing lag is only if you use a lot of specials in the air, aireals don't accumulate it unless a special is done first. Most of the time you can avoid this lag by wavedashing on a platform, fast falling to ledge, landing with Witch time, or landing with Dabk anyway. The character has a lot of potential just get good lol. TLDR; You can adapt to sdi (it's always predictable cause everyone smashes the stick down and away) and you can stop the extra landing lag by playing proactively.

And there’s one move that just cripples her every character has is shielding and yes there’s ways to get around that but good players well no what does plays are so the only place she has an advantage is when the opponent is off stage everywhere else she is at a disadvantage. The end of that match was just an unfortunate calculation. FOW knows he has no double jump, he's close enough to the ledge that Bayo can easily drop off and thunder-cuck him without really putting herself in danger, but he thinks he's close enough that an air dodge will get him to the ledge safely. I'm honestly surprised Ness didn't magnet to the ledge there, but sometimes you just gotta take those chances and sometimes they don't work in your favor.
Am I the only person who remembers when Sm4sh Bayo got nerfed people said she was the worst character in the game? It took her winning one major then suddenly she was OP.

As much as Bayonetta can dish out damage, it's frustrating to get a kill with her. At around mid percent, like 60 - 80 depending on the character, that's a kind of a sweetspot in terms of you have to get the kill at least here. If you don't kill them and their percent gets higher, your up-b will stop connecting into side-b. DI and SDI extremely fuck up her combos too. Hold down and away and you'll drop out. I feel like they should've kept her the way she was in the Ultimate Demo. MkLeo vs Plup match and people saying Bayonetta was still broken because she pulled off a 0-death like that is equivalent to a new player thinking Ganondorf is the best because big damage and kills or like how everyone cried about K. Rool at the start of Ultimate saying he's broken when in reality they just didn't know the match-up.
As a bayo main she can still kill but it takes finess now. Like people are gonna SDI so ur not getting a kill off the top most of the time, so its either a rly good SDI mix up, one of her kill confirms like up tilt bair or an edge guard.
