Really good guide! I think your videos are best of those I've seen explaining different mechanics and aspcets of the game, which there are a lot of to cover. I think it's worth mentioning, that hostility from all sources scales very noticeably with the difficulty (1x for settler, 2x for pioneer, 3x for veteran and onwards). Steming from that, opening glades in storm can push into higher hostliity level, which as you mentioned matters more during the storm, since aside from hefty resolve penlaty can activate dangerous forest mysteries, prime example is Creeping Shadows, the one that gives -5 resolve debuff for 5 minutes for opening a glade during storm. Event escalation oenalties are shown beforehand in the event description, usually permanent impatience as well as triggering another effect (such as building materials destruction shown in the video) every time event timer reaches zero. Severity of those is very different. I think you explain things very well, keep up the good work!
I would have emphasised more that small glades are generally much less valuable to open than dangerous glades, not just size. It's pretty much always possible to complete the dangerous glade events with your starting resources, you'll tend to find 3-4 x as much gatherable food as a small glade. There's basically no reason to not open a dangerous glade or even two before you start drafting orders, BPs, and perks. One of the biggest noob traps of the game is avoiding dangerous glades as much as possible, missing out on all the reputation points and having a far worse hostility to goods gained ratio.
Interesting dilemmas the game can throw at you. In current game I can open dangerous glades (with a perk) to earn 15 tools (but increase hostility I guess). Another perk allows me to open glades without increasing hostility …. Testing it all later today/this week. Fwiw perk = cornerstone.
Yeah, theres SO many cool Cornerstone Combos in the game which heavily alter how you play the game. It's amazing and one of my favorite Roguelites of all time for this =)
@@KeimpeJ Well my PC fan is working a lot during AtS and this always adds in a slight hiss into my audio. I'm pretty sure you're hearing this out ;) Haven't so far found Noise Gate Settings that don't cut off my voice and keep out all those nasty noises.
Great guide ❤

I love the aesthetic of the forests. Are those unity assets or did they come up with them themselves?
@DanSnipe-k8o AFAIK everything is made from scratch.
Something wrong with you mic? Sound has some artifacts.
No, I did bump against my table twice though :D
@Ic0nGaming Haha ok. I lt seems i hear some crackling throughout. Must be my old ears.

@@Ic0nGaming It's all good. It gives your voice a certain narrative quality shall we say. Cheers.
