3:24 the reason that lofty eyes don't move is because that's lofty after he died but his body remained like his soul is gone but his body is still a functioning truck so Bob was like "damn it be a waste to leave a good truck unused" so he just drives it like a normal truck after embalming his body in a perpetual smile
Also the reason why there is no driver is because Bob also died but he loved his job so much that he wishes to do it in the afterlife too and he is now haunting the body of his old friend
And the cutscene before was indeed a flashback of lofty's happy days

Have to point out that Greg Proops, one of the best comedians on Whose Line Is It Anyway, voiced Bob the Builder in the show. What a career trajectory.

Probably one of the best narrators the show had only rivaled by George Carlin in my opinion
He’s probably my least favorite reoccurring cast member, but that’s kind of like picking a least favorite ice cream flavor. They’re all great.

Realizing how much the times have changed and what was allowed on European television but not American hit him like a truck..! I always find that reaction interesting..! There's a Norwegian children's show i know that wouldn't be allowed on TV in Japan unless they censored it heavily or zoomed in on something else. If even has a scene with an alcoholic and lots of uncensored alcohol bottles, so not allowed in UK either without being censored.
I didn't even get the point of that.

@@devinmcdevinchat7254 A lot of Little Britain was satirical in concept but got tired very quickly and people just regurgitated the bad stuff without satire. The gay sketch was that he proclaims to be so very special and unique when gay culture was quite common now and a lot of ordinary people were also gay but not flamboyant.

I already said this on another video, but the DS version of Mr Bean is actually good, because it's a 2D platformer, so it doesn't have as much unnecessary space in levels as the PS2 version we all know and hate.
I kid you not, when I got the PS2 version I actually felt betrayed, the only good thing about it is you can watch some clips from the show AND THAT'S IT.
Anyway, today's game development lesson is:
"Just because it CAN be bigger, it doesn't mean it HAS TO BE."
Don't lie I have the ds version of Mr bean and it's just as crap as the 3d versions just on a 2d plane

This is really specific but the BBC jingle which plays at 0:09 is something ingrained in my memory from being a child and watching old Wallace and Gromit or DR Who DVDs found at charity shops. They had a little animation too, it was red and green and blue little streaks of light moving behind the logo of BBC. Didn't think that this image would come back to me ever again really, but I am glad it did in the most chance of ways.
I remember being terrified of the sound and I have no idea why haha

@@mongrel_97 There's Team 17, Traveller's Tales, Core Design came up with Tomb Raider but they're defunct now, Rare (pre-Microsoft buyout at least), Sumo Digital, Media Molocule, Frontier Developments and probably a lot of other good ones. The UK also had a big video game market in the 80s where UK-made home computers like Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum were more popular than the NES.
The UK doesn't care about games as much as the US and Japan does I guess? We're a pretty old fashioned country. Plus the US is so much bigger than we are, lol.

It kinda bums me out when chat doesn't understand why people born in the 80s weren't watching children's television in 2005. Some of us had bills to pay by that point. Kinda weird for adults to watch kids tv anyway, unless it's nostalgic for them.

The only children show I watched, and I use "watch" sparingly was Boobah. It was like a fever dream or Acid Trip. Whenever I'd see it on I'd at least have to watch a few minutes of the absurdity. Always good for a laugh.

What Vinny seems to forget sometimes is that there’s a very difficult balance between a game being not awful and a game being playable by a small child without supervision
I was wondering why Lego Island 2 was in this pack, also THATS what it looked like!? When I was little, the game looked like it had wii graphics, PS2 graphics at worst!
Maybe because it's not as popular and good as the first one, and yeah, the game doesn't look that good because it's the PS1 version, it has a lot of glitches too
The ultimate version of Lego Island 2 is the PC version.
I dunno but I really enjoyed it when I played it back in the day... I was like 15?
The PC version had way better graphics. I picked up the PSone version recently because I thought it might have been a unique version of the game, but it had the exact same content only with worse graphics and effects.
Yeah, I recall playing the PC version when I was like six or seven, and it did absolutely not look this shitty, nor was it this glitchy. Guess this is just what the PS2 version looks like.
I also have faint memories of the Bob the Builder game - also the PC version - and I believe it looked somewhat better, too. The gameplay was still as sparse and simple as it is here, though, but as Vinny points out, that was good enough for a mere child, as I was.

I remember watching Little Britain when I was a teenager and thinking it was the funniest shit. Looking back on it now... Yeah, it really has aged like milk hasn't it?
I never watched the show, but I'm a huge doctor who fan especially of the classic run. So once I heard old Tom Baker's voice I was like, oh shit, it's the doctor!
That's an insult to aged milk. At least when milk ages, it can sometimes still be useful for stuff like yogurt or cheese. This garbage though? I wanna say it aged like radioactive waste.

"Straight from streams far in the past." and all the excitement in my body left just like the thousands of children's souls that were disappointed when they played the games in this video once the realization set in that I had seen these before.
