As you said we miss the banter we had ourselves and the company we had. You were one of the great guys we ever had. I will probably need you sometime for a video podcast.

I recently saw a BBC documentary on racism in the British Army, my father is black and served but he doesn't feature in my life so I can't really ask after his experiences. I would definitely be interested to hear you speak on it if/when you're comfortable.

Interesting view, I can only go off the experience of my best mate. We both left University in 1992, we are both white British men. After 9 months he joined the Paras, passed Basic, P Company and Para training, served for 6 years and never got a stripe on his arm.
Different time, different branch of the service, maybe that has an effect?

Oh yeah, I was a vehicle specialist but they scrapped it so I moved to postal and courier in the Royal Logistics.

He was postal and courier soldier ie helping we soldiers get our letters and hard copy documents. Both inland and overseas

I also tried to join last 7yrs but on the paper it said that I should submit a sponsor whom I will stay with at UK that was when I stopped cos I didn't have any one. It's refreshing to know you're from Akwatia that's where I'm also from.

Those boils under your arm. I feel your pain. I had them when I was in Iraq. I was using to much antiperspirant spray that stops you from sweating. But that builds up toxins inside, then that causes the hair follicle infection. I had several boils under my arms at once. Most painful thing I've experienced. Never used antiperspirant spray since 🤣
In my case, I guess it was the change of environment from Ghana to the UK. The water, food and antiperspirant as you mentioned.
Am surprised am yet seeing this video bro. A friend introduced me to Royal Marines way back 2018 and I had wanted to apply but what discouraged me was the accommodation in UK for the recruitment and how to get the visa. Your video really inspired me bro,

I'm Manuel Asare, an upcoming TH-camr with the channel (Manuel Asare TV). I already have the required 1K subscription and working on my watching hours (I have the 4K but it includes shorts videos which TH-cam doesn't consider).
But the channel was created in 2018, I started posting videos on the channel last year (2021) without even knowing the 12 months watching hours ultimatum. You were lucky then visa application has an interview where you can express yourself when I applied there was no interview for the visa that is a real disadvantage I hope the British embassy can consider an interview for people applying for the army

They ask if you have a military background during the application. So Yh you have to disclose that.

Normally if it’s on hold, it means they are waiting for the next recruitment session or there is something wrong with your application.

@@randomthoughtsinsounds7883 hello Denny unfortunately it is one of the requirements as commonwealth applicants. I personally cannot do anything to help. You just need to find someone to host in the UK and that is down to you. Please let me know if you need anything else.

hello please i have applied for the uk army and i have received the RG medical declaration but there is an aspect of the forms where i need to provide some vaccinations record, unfortunately I have not vaccinated for some of the vaccines provided.

Hello Baba, I wanted to ask if I could join the British army from Spain. I'm pretty fluent in English but obviously Spain is not part of the Commonwealth however, I don't want to join the Spanish army because there's a lot of fascists. I know it sounds kind of weird but I've thought of it already. I've thought of learning more languages in the future so that I could be useful as a translator. Could I join the British army if I got a citizenship or something similar?

If you’ve done national service, you get it free from the national service secretariat.
Brother, I'm planning for the same. I have two questions, Q1. Can I go there on a visitor visa and will that be enough as I can only stay there for 6 months after my arrival? Q2. Will I be qualified for British Citizenship after my service or I just have to come back home?
So there are many recruitment centres in the UK. Just pop in and make enquires when you arrive in the UK. I hope that answers your questions for both.
