@Wxtter_Boii, if you join the Reserves you are obligated to serve your contract the same as Active Duty. Base/basic pay is your standard salary, regardless of where you live. BAH is the additional stipend you get to cover off-base rent (or OHA if you’re stationed overseas). You aren’t entitled to BAH or OHA if you live on base.
You can use your BAH on your mortgage payments, but make sure to consider the additional costs of home owner's insurance, property taxes, utilities, etc when determining if that's the best option for you.

I have a question. Imagine I join the army as a specialist and after 2 years I get promoted to Sergeant instead of the normal 2610.60 I would be receiving 2786.10 right? If that´s true why is there a base pay for people with less than 2 years
If you’ve been in for more than 2 years (but less than 3), as an E-5, per the chart, you’d be receiving $2,786.10/month. If you’re asking why build the chart to include a base pay for an E-5 with less than 2 years, I imagine they build it that way in the event you have folks joining at higher ranks due to outside experience, or maybe just for the purpose of completion. Basically every rank includes pay for all lengths of service. You’d still just apply the chart to your own rank/time in service as it fits. I hope that answered the question.

dont be so dumb, by marrying with someone u get a civil contract with full obligations with her. She can squeeze you and not in a sexual way
@@josejaimeceja3979 You don't know what a Prenuptial agreement is do you?
Less than minimum wage. If you're stationed in California state's min wage is $17 an hour which means most decent businesses start people at around $23 but military E-1 makes like $9 an hour.
But u get free accommodation, food, medical, pension and career opportunities.
@@disrealnow9664 it really depends. If you're TAD to kitchen in port & you're working 18hr days & your regular job is doing 5-8hr days. You're being forced to work more for no pay incentives. In the civilian world that's call time & a half. If you're older you can't use college benefits until 1-4 years into a set rate implying that an older person someone E1 at age 35+ can never make officer. If you're undesignated you have to wait even longer to take advantage of college. If you're attached to a ship you might need er get housing and you can't register a car to a ship or get important documents sent there because there's no street address. I can keep going if you want
I am 46 I am not Qualify
I wish I had stayed in.
Which branch did u join and how much money did u make
The best way is to join the guard! E7 in 8 years and LT colonel in 9.
Never seen this before, recruitment numbers must be low.
That’s a fact
Hi
Does special forces like seal team, delta assigned to a very dangerous mission get extra pays?
I don’t know for sure but they might get hazard pay.
SpecOps guys do get bonuses when they reenlist
There pay doubles in a war zone
@@ChristianGarver hello brother
The pay is horrible. I can't believe the military pays so low. You can make more at McDonald's.
It’s crazy you said that.. because I’m 18 years old, I’m a manager at McDonalds, I’m going to get sworn in the Navy on Monday morning.. I bring home $1200-$1500 every two weeks.. it’s crazy. I’m joining because I need my school paid for
@@agirlwholovesgod1645 Make sure its something you want to do. I got out while in boot camp. If you just doing it for school then you should've done the National guard.
@@Heartless-oi3sp thing is I know a few people that went navy and getting their school paid for. And getting their dental school/nursing school paid for. Idk we’ll see what happens. Either way I have to leave home, it’s no good here.
Military is actually going to cause you to save a ton of money. For example making 2k+ a month without paying for rent is wonderful. That’s an extra 1k I can hang onto in comparison to irl. Also military discounts 😂
It’s not that horrible when you include the benefits.
You make more at amaozn or McDonald's 😂
I take orders from u
The pay is trash
Don’t join, it’s not worth it
Lol you can finish a bs online course in less than a year and make multiples of what someone in the mush makes. Poor gi joes
What if I wS g
Buying every baby rabbot in the time. I. Placed them so I never quit. Having babies
who really cares about the pay when you practically have nothing to pay for 🤷🏻♂️, and get free college tuition, get free career training, free meal, free room, free board, free travel, free home down payment, free medical benefits, free free free!!! and you get to serve your country, thank you for your service soldiers 🫵😉
Why is no one talking about how shit military base pay is after taxes? Smfh
Apparently, That's before allowances and BAH. I'm not sure if the recruiters lied to me but after all is said in done. You should see 3k month each pay stub because the military pays for Allowance and BAH. I'm not sure if that's true or I'm understanding correctly.
