Playing this game for 4 years has truly changed me as a person. Not only has it changed my sperspective on my videgame profile, but also the way I approach real-life issues. I owe a lot to this game and I feel like some people just need to understand the real point behind it is to realize you shouldn't take things for granted and to always go into a session knowing that you wont always end up winning.

At first I thought you were being too harsh but I realized half the time you were talking with your mic off lol, and I can understand the frustration. I feel like this guy could use a friend or 2 to play with him. I would play by myself, but got bored easily, I didn’t like having to micromanage over everything. In multiplayer, people are there to correct your mistakes, you can do higher risk higher reward quests, and fighting is not as daunting.

I pick my fights and if I notice the people I'm facing isn't really interested in fighting then I just leave them to it :P

I used to be just like him when i started playing sea of thieves. set up a goal of grinding to a certain lvl and spend hours trying to get it. after i would achieve it, i would be kinda happy and burnt out at the same time. Then i would take up another goal and the process repeats. After a while, i realized how meaningless the SOT grind was and quit the game. all you get is short term pleasure, few levels and a new cosmetic which no one would notice. Just play the game to have fun, levels will come eventually

I think the guy running has a point, you see back when hourglass started it was horrible. I was like him I had a burning desire to get the curse regardless of dying constantly the wins matter. But after all that bloodshed I was exhausted, I have a goal to get athena now. However I am only lvl 25 its become a grind and there are so many people that are horrible and rip you a part. Matchmaking is dreadful I fought so many golden curses too. I wonder if I should give up, or continue to tirelessly make an effort.
I can 100% understand. i'm in the same boat. got to 100 for servants but not for the athena side. Can't bring myself to do hourglass because of how boring it is to me.

I ran into a kid with some loot and a gold hoarders 5 flag I chased him and when I got on his ladder he just straight up gave up, sounded upset and just left it actually made me feel bad stealing loot 😂

Im sorry for him but you have to learn how to fight. Theres always a skillcurve in that type of game. But still... He seems burnt out, maybe even some private problems too... Maybe taking a break would help... Poor guy :(

Perfect example that not everyone who plays Sea of Thieves is a complete dickhead. You just earned yourself a new subscriber. And for everyone else who reads this, the next time you play, maybe have a little more consideration for whoever you're attacking. They could be having a really bad day. They could even be depressed and they're using the game to try and relax or make friends with someone because maybe they don't have any friends.

SoT is such an organic game. With plenty of ways to have a good time. But that does not mean fighting and stealing are the only way to do it.
And dude i am the same as your fellow you talked, day 1 pirate, early PL, with all the bells and whistles to back it. But ive suffered through a lot of bullying; there's plenty of times I don't care to fight, especially as a solo sloop.
Hostility just causes anxiety, but be that as it may, SoT is still an amazing game with a lot to offer and its really nice when you feel you make a connection.
So as good as your pep talk was, you should also weigh that not everyone is chasing that same fight you're after.
was not expecting this LoL, i don't like pvp, but i like all the other aspects of the game and F safer seas as it sucks, i just roll the dice and risk getting chased and just be a sore looser dump my loot overboard as I am fleeing from some autistic player leave my boat sailing off than run ashore lower my flag and start a new game after a brew.
I play solo so i am almost always at a disadvantage , I don't have time or the inclination to become a better pvp player as i am not interested in that part of the game but with that i accept that i will loose my loot some times to save time but they wont get anything also too, i go full scorched earth and start again, efficient strat for me as i am almost maxed out in my chosen guilds fast enough.
Caring? In a pirate game? I never care who I sink and what I take, in fact I enjoy the feeling of taking someone else’s hard earned loot, and if it happens to me oh well, take what you can give nothing back
