What a gorgeous sunset. Sometimes the magic of fishing isn't what you catch, but what you see. From the mist on a lake on an early morning tench session to the snow capped foliage on a winter pike session, from the late spring wild flowers on a meadow river barbel fishing to the various colours of the trees around an autumn farm lake, you're so right, it's way better than staring at 4 walls. Another great watch Graeme, thanks for the video.
I really enjoy your videos, thank you sir. I'm a Blackburn born 54 year old living in south Texas and I enjoy your humor and the fishing reminds me of fishing in Southend-On-Sea. Keep them coming.
Thank you Graham for the years of great fishing videos, I went to courtmac about 5 years ago after watching your videos and there was unbelievable weed but I loved it will be definitely better back
The comments say it all. Brilliant filming both the night shots and the beach, amazing sunset. Sometimes you don't need fish to make a great download. I will watch this again in the morning while relaxing over breakfast. Thanks for posting.
Always love the fact that you think outside the box and get creative using freshwater tackle on Sea gear. It's so refreshing when everyone seems to conform to specific ideas these days regarding tips and tackle.
I try to put different material out,but then I have always enjoyed being an all-round angler,I think I would have packed it in decades ago if I had to fish one species/one method...variety is the spice of life they say. I like the challenge of all the fish species, which is probably why I am more acceptable of the odd blank session or two..its real life fishing.
Nice vid mr P......thanks for the sea fishing inspiration, as just moved to Dorset and taken up sea fishing. Great days out on my mates boat catching plenty of bass and Plaice. Tight lines
HI Delamere, great that your getting into this Sport. It's very addictive in the best way possible. I promise you my friend you will have a great rollercoaster of a journey doing this. It gives you so much joy in life and you often meet great people too. Best of luck. Steve in Fife, Scotland.
Awesome. It use to worry me when I drew a blank, but these days being older I just love being on the water, if I catch a fish or two well that is a bonus. Take time to smell the roses.
I wouldn't say I enjoy blanking but as you get older it seems more acceptable and actually being out there trying is the satisfaction. I don't catch a fraction of what I used to from the shore 50 years ago,but there is still that element of hope when you throw out...you just just really know what is out there.
Good effort as always Graeme , I don't know how you do it at your age , nice to see you getting your wear out of those corduroy trousers mate , lol Keep up the good work I always enjoy your content .
The old trousers are my favourites, warm, comfortable,a delight on the eye and of course the height of fashion(well maybe in 1958 !!) And brown too...in case there are any accidents....
I think you are really brave, after some rowdy youngsters playing up I no longer go out solo or at night, things are getting out of hand in some areas.
Hi Graeme, Such a well filmed session. Great clarity on your camera. Really peaceful which i find focuses your attention and gives you a sense of suspense. Steve in Fife.
Thanks Graham, the location was awesome and nice well light pier , your right ive blanked loads of 8hr sessions for carp ect but the nature ect makes up for it 😀 👍
Fantastic. Had a bit of fun on the eels myself the other day! One of the comments on my video was "looks like he's doing a Graham Pullen" had two on in one shot! Was mental!
@@TAFishing Ahh ok fantastic. I've only ever had them on jigs from the local pier. Not sure I've seen a static jig. Good luck hopefully you manage to bag one. Few about at the moment it seems.
Great video Graeme, evening if the shore results were not the best but its all about being out. Was down that way myself in Sept, fishing was good, Bass, Pollock, Mackerel and Wrasse all on Sp's.
I’ve known sizeable conger going up small but flooded streams. Albeit on a big spring tide- 7 miles up an estuary then 2 miles up a stream. The stream had a lot of trout and a lot of flounder- I used to catch the flounder by hand, kitchen fork, or penknife.
I left it too long coming back...(damn Covid hassle !!!.)..I aim to get back next year as the years are racing past but don't worry I have more Courtmacsherry films from my trip over.
Its a magical place. I used to regularly do 3 trips a year to Ireland and fished lots of different areas..no question they have still got some prime fishing over there .
It’s not about catching fish really they are just a bonus, it’s about being out there in nature, watching, listening, experiencing, something many never do….
Just a tip.Paint the tip with Tippex(print correction fluid) rather than gloss white, comes in a small bottle with brush.Much more reflective, easier to see!!
Loved the bit when you able to see the shoal of fish gliding through the clear water. The 1st eel do you take it home ( when your home ) and cook and eat it ?. My mum used to take us to Manzies pie and liquor gravy shop, and she would eat the jellied eels. 😊👌✨
I did have two pairs but went through the knees of one pair continually kneeling in the garage on pallet projects..The wife has worked for 17 years in a charity shop and is on constant lookout for another pair...I'm not shelling out about £45 for a new pair of trousers (or more they tell me..£45 is a days fuel for sharking !!)
Wonderful video as usual Graham mate, I do wonder though, seeing as it's been a rather long time since your last videoed visit to Weymouth for squid, will you do so again soon? Best wishes to you mate!
@@TAFishing Thanks for replying! My dad and I went earlier this year and caught diddly squat, I guess their migratory patterns and numbers aren't what they used to be.
If it was easy our hobby would be called Catching. The wife and I were up at dawn to catch the tide on Scarborough pier last week glorious to say the least. Alas only a few small flatties landed but great memories made.
County Cork.which is Southern Ireland. There are plenty of piers about over there, but I find the ones that don't dry out at low water are generally more productive.
I would say yes ,but I wasn't going wrasse fishing so could not think of a use for crab baits other than that. I have never heard of any Smoothhounds in that area but I believe they are starting to get them on the East coast.

Wow my knees were weak when you walked to the edge. Almost like IMAX!
I thought it was The Night of The Creepy Codger 👌😂😂😂🎥
Very enjoyable Graham. Clonakilty pudding is the best black pudding ever and the white pudding is delish too 👍🙋🏼♂️

well done, I aim to get out tomorrow on a beach and maybe try a static squid attracting rig I have been thinking about for a while.

Love the last few videos Graeme and I ve been an avid fan since I bought your big game fishing book in 1989 age 11
Glad you like the films, more to come.
What a fantastic place that looks. I Married an Irish girl but I've never been to Ireland. I'll have to fix that. Thanks for the video Graeme.
Its a magical place. I used to regularly do 3 trips a year to Ireland and fished lots of different areas..no question they have still got some prime fishing over there .
@@TAFishing SOLD!! I’ll start packing the car. 😉
dedication 100% mate
ideal graeme, 40 minuetes flew by. thank you for filming.
stunning place! cheers.
It can be a really good pier...guess it was conditions that stopped me nailing that Lunker eel...always another time...
It’s not about catching fish really they are just a bonus, it’s about being out there in nature, watching, listening, experiencing, something many never do….
I was expecting a tentacle of a giant squid to come slithering up the steps and dragging Graeme to the icy depths.😃
That’s fishing isn’t it ❤️
I always watch your videos and think, yeah that’s me and my dad. We would love that.
Keep up the good work
I love it when it's all calm and quiet, shame about the yobs.
Your a legend 👏

Great Video as usual Graham, what i want to know is how many pairs of those brown cords have you got, they must be your lucky strides.
Can we see some more conger pair fishing plZ
Wonderful video as usual Graham mate, I do wonder though, seeing as it's been a rather long time since your last videoed visit to Weymouth for squid, will you do so again soon?

Already filmed, but caught no squid.Just mini species.
@@TAFishing Thanks for replying!
My dad and I went earlier this year and caught diddly squat, I guess their migratory patterns and numbers aren't what they used to be.
How heavy a leader to fish when going after the congors?
About 80lbs or more.
Beautiful
3 nuts......ha ha ha ha ha ......sorry sir that made me giggle.
the clonakilty black pudding is really good
Sums up fishing on the uk now, tiny little pollock!! Fishing is all but over for anglers now
If it was easy our hobby would be called Catching. The wife and I were up at dawn to catch the tide on Scarborough pier last week glorious to say the least. Alas only a few small flatties landed but great memories made.
Must have been nice to be out on the pier at first light, fish or not. Watch out for next week's Friday film, its got some great scenery shots.
You should film the pizza and Guinness as well.
Graham instead of paint i use plumbing ptfe tape on the rod tips you don't have to wait for it to dry.
That could be worth a try,and I have a few spools in my tool box. Thanks for the tip.
Great music
What is the strangest thing you have ever caught Graham? i once caught a plaice with my hands, it was blending in against the rocks on a pier
Got to be in it to win it, GMAN.
Nice
may i ask where the location is? great video as always!
County Cork.which is Southern Ireland. There are plenty of piers about over there, but I find the ones that don't dry out at low water are generally more productive.
There's nothing more than I would love to do is fish for mullet on light tackle a little float and a peace of bread 😎👍
There can be some really big Mullet around this pier in the summer .I have seen them to well over 5lbs.
do you have a video on ice fishing....
No, we don't get cold enough conditions to do ice fishing.
Clonakilty is my home town😊
Good game good game
❤❤
Graeme couldn’t you drop a crab net and get some bait while your fishing?
I would say yes ,but I wasn't going wrasse fishing so could not think of a use for crab baits other than that. I have never heard of any Smoothhounds in that area but I believe they are starting to get them on the East coast.
time 17.40 looks like jaws dragging one barrel out to sea
Happy Friday boy's✌
Haha nuts.
