This is the inspiration I took for making two outside flower/window boxes.
In particular, I love the last bits of trim wood. Thanks for the simple how-to video. Keep up the great work.

Strongly disagree on the "intelligently taught" part. Shoes & safety glasses should be worn at ALL times when doing construction projects!!! This channel sets a god awful safety standard for first time DIyers.

Thank you for your video. You made it so simple, anyone could follow. I'm the one at my house that does all the reno/rehabbing/remodeling. My husband can do it but knows that I actually enjoy doing it. It's nice to see the woman doing this project.

Obviously the puppy appreciated the wood without the bark. Didn't seem the least bit annoyed. Anyway, use a plastic putty applicator instead of finger - it creates a more leveling effect and helps save the skin.

Ok I thought of a tip for you guys. Since you have all the pieces of the project cut prior to construction. Why dont you screw the outside trim pieces from the inside then assemble. This way all the screw heads are on the inside for a cleaner look? ............That not might work for the ends of the main box ..... But you could still screw from the outside on the ends for the main box, which means only 8 screw heads showing instead of 48 screw heads.

One tip: place your project on a workbench or table edge to drill holes straight (without the interference of the floor tilting the drill). 👍🏼
Also, be sure to secure it to your house....that box is extremely heavy (especially filled with plants and wet soil).

If you have metal siding like aluminum, treated lumber will destroy it. The chemicals in treated lumbar will interact with aluminum and rapidly decay it. Also use wood to metal screws. Stainless steel screws will also have reaction with aluminum. I realized this won't be a problem for most but siding houses, even vinyl, will have to use wood strapping to give strength to box no matter what material is used.
