Didn't see the previous episode but did the 2nd army ran out of action points to inch in closer to the main army to act as reinforcements? If so, I think facing his army first while having like 3 units of archers pelt the retainers with arrows would've been my move there (or straight up ignore the retainers, they don't come out whatsoever)
Thanks for the feedback! You're correct about the 2nd army. They had farther to move through the forest and thus couldn't get close enough to reinforce. Looking back, I probably could have detached the 2nd army general and moved him up- even after laying siege. I could have met his army and ignored the fort. With more of a head-to-head (or if I would have continued after taking the tenshu) I probably could have wiped out more units. At the time I was concerned about his 6ish yari samurai vs my unranked ashigaru. As it stands, taking out his daimyo and general were great outcomes. One thing I don't recall is whether a leaderless army in a newly vassalized province gets displaced or outright destroyed. That question should be (re)answered next episode if I get an army into Wakasa and find some banged up yari sams.
21:00 you can pull 12 units out as you are training another to replace the ones you are taking
Nice catch!
so nice campaign bro
Thank you 👍
