Total War: Shogun 2- Oda Campaign- Very Hard #7 (Sakai War pt 2)

War against the Sakai in full swing. We have plenty of troops to grind it out with them so long as no one decides to join in.
~Over a decade ago I poured many hours into this game... So let's jump back in on Very Hard difficulty and see if I can remember which end of the spear to hold!
This is a vanilla game except for the camera setting (I manually set it to debug) and the resource map in the encyclopedia. (It's great!)

Hindsight on that first battle- I could have either tried to bring the 2 left units around and up the hill to charge the yari samurai from behind with advantage once they were committed. OR... I should have pulled all my units back to lure the bow sams down the hill far enough away from their yari that either the yari would have had to follow suit, or we could have engaged them in the flat. Still... a win is a win- particularly when you can replenish back your force in a couple turns.

Just to be clear you think Shogun 2 is better than Rome 2 or that Rome 2 is better? For me, I like both settings, but I haven't played Rome 2. I can't remember between that one and Atilla which kind of got slagged the most. I have played some Warhammer 2- haven't upgraded to 3 yet.
