  • I took over for my wife and barely made it through the day. Stumbled through homeschool lessons and tried to remain positive. We have 4 children 7 year old, 5 year old, 2 year old and 8 months old. Overall I'm glad my wife left and gave me some time with the kids. She deserves a break!!

Favorite parts...The Snack Time shot, the happy dance when you got Uzi down, the under the counter shots of Uzi in the rocker, the preview of Miss Anaya at the end, and the music as usual. I feel God's peace over the phrase "be alright".

As you were changing Uzi's diaper, I was thinking about how when we're in the midst of God cleaning up our mess, sometimes we're fighting God, crying, kicking an screaming thinking it's never going to be over and how much peace we feel when we're on the other side of that mess. How we can relax in his presence when His work (in that area) is complete.

Your face walking out of the bedroom after putting Uzzi down is priceless!! Aniyah walking down behind you with allll of the bracelets, so black girl magic!! Uriah's face after he slapped Theo's hand in the hand game, so full of confidence--Uriah "be like", "dis is what I dew!" And Theo's sincere focus and then shock with a smile when he was doing his learning game on the tablet was an interesting catch on camera. He was in his zone, "caught", yet recovered quickly with a smile. What a legacy y'all are creating for your entire family to look back upon!

Its a blessing to see a black father taking care of his children. I never had a earthly father that would take time to take care of me like that but I let my Heavenly Father help me through it all. I don’t even have kids as I am still young myself but watching this channel and seeing how much progress you guys have to overcome its a true blessing to see.

Some children grow up to resent that. My uncle was very high need and so my mom and her sister got less. They are in there late 30s and mid 40s. My aunt resents it to this day and holds it against my grandmother. I would say to be fluid and if one child become high need come up with a plan to pivot and circle back around somehow.

    • @DrZlessons
      @DrZlessons 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

@@ericawer6832 High need doesn't necessarily equate to more to me. My daughter has different needs with multiple allergies and eczema. It would be unrealistic to treat my son, who has no allergies and little to no anxiety resulting from it with the same approach. I don't give her more or less attention, her attention just doesn't mirror his. Fluidity for sure because later down the road his trepidation with sleeping in the dark warranted a different level of attention than she needed with desiring to sleep only in pitch blackness. One size will not fit all.

It took a lot of forgiveness on my part to finally have the relationship I wanted to have with my father. Continue to show your children that you love them and always be there for them. Parents adjust to the child. Kind of like love languages. You learn how to love the person in a way they can interpret as love. I would imagine that's how we should approach our parenting. The core lessons don't change but the method can/does. I'm here being convicted in my parenting of my daughters as I type this....

My father had 7 kids and never found it difficult to raise and care for us. He made a choice not to complicate his life.
As a result, we as kids struggled so much raising and caring for each other. Did we hate or blame him? At first yes of course...we grew up having to envy every kid we knew that are lucky to have a responsible father and felt pity and ashamed of our fate. But this negative feelings must be burried and face the life ahead of us instead with more positivity. Beleaf is an absolute inspiration for good fatherhood. Much respect! The world will be a better place to have more father like him.

To answer the question, I'm not a parent, but my mom being a single mother for most my life I did what I could to help and watched her. Something I watched her learn is that every kid is different and needs a different kind of support system to be brought up the best they can. While you can make the kids adjust to you, I don't think it's always the best method and makes it harder to capitalize on each kids individual strengths. they're all going to be different. For instance, some kids need to make the mistake and learn why it's a bad idea while others can simply be explained and other will watch the example of their elder siblings and learn from their mistakes. Some need tough love reality checks every now and then and other need calm and loving support circles to be guided the right way. It's important to evaluate the children and make sure you are guiding them properly to be the best them they can be.
Not a parent though, yet, hopefully one day lol. I'll see if I change my mind and what hurdles I'll end up facing.

Hi, I believe parents should adjust to each child for obvious reasons...God made us all different, gaves us all different gifts, personalities and learning abilities.
I was lol when you said snack time and through the snacks.
Caring for 4 kids gets real 💃🏾🤗
I think you did a great job!

My favorite part of the video is that look of triumph on your face after you put Uzi to sleep, lol!

As someone who didn't grow up with their pops, these clips bring tears to my eyes. I watching what I potentially missed out on growing up.

Children are different, you can’t even imagine how different, what works with one could ruin the others, as a parent you have to be a Jedi and find the right thing for each, and let me tell you a secret, you won’t ever know if you got it right, you just do your very best to live them all day every day, you got this!!!

Loved seeing Uriah rocking Uzi momentarily, Glen's victory dance once he was able to put Uzi down (😂) and Anaya's little laugh and beautiful smile right at the end 💕

It may be Theo's natural coloring but I had dark circles under my eyes as at his age. I had trouble sleeping deeply and appeared tired all the time even though I still had that kid energy. As an adult I finally got treatment for sleep apnea and realized I had been robbed of good sleep for years!

Parents need to adjust to the needs of their children. Each child is different. What works for one won't work for the other.

BEASTMODE LEAF! The dance at the end was so triumphant! Also looking in very good shape. Making me and other viewers proud to be human. Thank you.

Since I had a 3rd baby last year, I feel the same, Always hugging on him that even my middle 2 yr old is side eyeing me. I hate watching your vids at work because now I miss my little shitty batty boy. LOVE your channel black King

Beleaf, I only stumbled upon your channel last night. I have only seen three videos so far, but I really like it. I like a dad that is involved in his kids' lives. I don't have kids as I am young and single right now, but I can't imagine how you (or anyone) is homeschooling right now. The part of the video where you are rocking your son and helping two of the others with different homework on either side of you just made my head spin!!! More power to you, my friend!!!

Wow! You are an amazing father. Honestly my favorite part was you putting Uziah to bed. The love and the bond with an infant is beautiful. Sooner than you know he'll be Theo's age.

My favorite part, you multi-tasking with Anya and Uzy!!! All fathers need to pay attention to that part. Least favorite, Uzy crying because he is tired. I don't know too many babies that like crying themselves to sleep. I think I spoiled my kids (rocked them to sleep) until they got older. Oh wait...…….you figured that part out. Good for you.
