The Perler tweezers help with this a lot. They pick up the beads a lot faster than your fingers.
+Jazzie Red hey thanks for your comment :D I didn't have tweezers at the time of recording this video but now that i have them, I still have to get used to them haha
I started out with tweezers... Then I tried with my fingers and it was hard. Went right back to the tweezers.

Hey I use a needle and yarn that way i can pick up about 50 at a time the needle is great and gets it done pretty fast and the yarn helps catch them.

If you take a straw, you can use tape to make a thing to grab the beads more easily.
First, you fold over some tape, so it's not sticky on either side. Then you take the straw, and trace the size of its end the folded over tape. Then you cut it to it's a + shape with the traced circle in the middle. Then put the traced spot onto the end of the straw, and fold the + ends against the straw,. Then you use an exacto knife to cut an X into the tape on the end of the straw,.
To use it, you put some beads into a bowl, and press the taped end onto the colour of bead that you want to pick up. It will go into the straw, and the tape will stop it from falling down. Then pick up more until to straw is full, and dump them into a container through the other end of the straw (this wasn't my idea, but I don't know who made the video that I learned it from.)

Lol i also use specimen cups for sorting my beads. 😂 i mean i have containers as well but i def bring some of the specimen cups home when i go to the doctors

Yes same, I had gotten three buckets of this 26000 mix, and the first week I got them I finished sorting one of the buckets and I was packing and moving that whole week, the second bucket took me a bit longer maybe a month maybe 2, I had them in storage so I couldn't sort, and in that first month I had bought a 11,000 bucket, a 6000 bucket, another 5000 and another 3000, Perler Bead brand, and finished those with in 2 days of getting them. The last bucket, of 26000, I just finish like a month and a half ago, I bought those 26000 buckets on 6/30/13 got to my house a little less then a week later, and I'm still not done because I still have 2 colors that are impossible to separate but i'm slowly doing it lol. O_O hope its not confusing.

I think sorting would be more efficient if you use a tweezer to pick the colors from the bowl. I found it frustrating to pick one color with my hands and then have the wrong beads. With a tweezer it is way more precise.
But I like your Video! never thought about using a nice flat bowl to sort so I have to get one soon! :D
+Mischmaschquatsch At the time of recording this I didn't have tweezers but now that I do have them I don't use them, I'm just so used to using my fingers lol thanks for commenting =D
I use plats and zip lock bags and a plastic cup to sort its a mess but its fast way of doing it

I do the same thing only I don't pick them up with my fingers I thread them onto a small gauge wire that is stiff yet pliable that way I can have it wrap around my arm as I'm threading which in turn allows me to thread more beads. 😎

this video is older) I seperate by color like pinks red blues yellow then by shade.
I use sorting trays I got from the LEGO store
It's pretty efficient

+i Sparklicious the containers from a local $2 store. The one with the yellow lids they were given to me by a friend who worked in a medical factory (packaging medical boxes, equipment and things) :D
