where you playing strait into the peavey?. i liked the sound. to be honest; i'd save a few bucks and buy an off brand, squire or cheaper fender and modify it. but i do think i like the guitar itself
Yep, that's almost exactly word for word what Paul and Myles said when this released. They upgraded the saddles and developed the pickups extensively, to the point of actually cutting into profits. Rumor was they lost money during development, that won't most likely ever be recouped.
Did they really? Interesting. I never read anything about it. Everything in my video was all just personal observations. Funny that it echoed Paul and Myles. LOL
@@RobertWJackson That's why I figured I'd mention it. You assessed it with simple observations and just keeping it real. It's not a fancy guitar, but everyone's said the pickups are great. I know they initially sold better than expected. They'll probably never even attempt an SE version? Not that I want one either. Just saying.
Good looking guitar but would look cooler with a black metal bridge with individual string inserts. When are they going to do a signature guitar for you, Robert?
I'm not much of a Tele fan either but, I felt I needed one in my collection and found a Chameleon painted body on ebay for $250. Added a Mighty Mite neck and some burnt chrome (that rainbow colored metal finish) hardware. The electronics were from a boutique seller. Classic humbucker with a lipstick single in the neck and a 4-way switch. It's beautiful and plays like a Tele. I also got a $900, Butterscotch, Fender Player Tele for free with my cool points at work but, I dislike it because Fender slathered the fret board with a varnish. I'm thinking I'll replace it with a non-finished neck. Nice video.
Robert, how do you feel about PRS guitars in general? I just bought a used SE Custom 24-08 (Vintage Burst). It arrived yesterday in mint condition, but due to work, I haven't plugged it in yet 😢 lol I love Myles Kennedy. I discovered him because I'm a Slash fan, and I got to see them together in concert in 2010 in Toronto at the now closed down Kool Haus, although he didn't play any guitar that night.
Nice axe..but too much bread...just me, but not a prs guy...ive been a fender bender for over 60 yrs..but ive got a nice ibanez rgt3120...they make some fine gtrs in japan....diggin your stuff Robert sir.. sir..
Cool to anyone who gets their name on a model but PRS is really stretching with some of these. If they wanted to make a Tele then go on nobody can stop you Paul lol
Nice AXE. just to let you know I love ya Bro. PRS still blowing that his guitars are made of "tone wood" Turns me off on anything he makes. I am so over the tonewood BS.

I dig this guitar. I'd like to try one. I hope they come out with an SE version because that's about all I can afford, and I love the SE line.
Haven’t heard Civil war in years. Started humming the lead part when you played. Now I have to put that album on.
Really dig the color.

Gorgeous axe. I got the same gig bag with my S2 McCarty 594. Great playing.
That bridge pup tone for Civil War intro was SPOT ON!
Hell yeah, cool guitar!

Who is Myles Kennedy ?
He’s a former President of the United States, I believe.
@@RobertWJackson Yes, must be related to John Fitzgerald Kennedy and his family.
