I just started watching your videos and although I've been to a lot of places you've mentioned; I am so surprised to find out how many hidden gems were hiding right under my nose that I've driven by time & time again. Thank you so much for making these videos, not only are you showing us new places but reminding us of ones we haven't been to in a while and need to revisit!
sorry to be off topic but does anyone know of a way to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
@Everett Rory thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I was just in South Lake Tahoe this past weekend. I live in between San Francisco and Sacramento so it takes 2 1/2 to get there going 50. Emerald Bay is a beautiful spot where there's a small Island with ruins from a tea house. If you go further up the west side of the lake on 89 there are two mansions you can tour. Along the east side of the lake there are vistas you can take short walks to see more beautiful views. If you are ever in the area for the 4th of July, Lake Tahoe has amazing fireworks. You can see them from Kings Beach, Tahoe City, and South Lake Tahoe all at once.
After 50 years and now los Tigres del Norte played the same blues but in Spanish and now is a documentary in Netflix too. Great job on your videos Mr Josh thanks for all the tips.
Your videos are seriously the best! Especially helpful in these weird times. Used to have the JB factory in Wisconsin - absolute best memory from childhood.
Hey Josh, another fine video. You couldn't have possibly covered all the sights as you covered a lot of territory. And you passed through one of my hometowns, Sacramento. Los Angeles is the other one. One thing about the Foresthill Bridge. It's so high because they planned to build a dam in Auburn back in the 1970's so most of that area would have been under water. The dam failed, I should say the dam idea failed. Lake Tahoe is a favorite weekend getaway for Bay Area and Sacramento travelers. Lots of fun.
Thanks for the information about Foresthill, I had no idea about that. Would have been crazy to see the area if the water level was a lot higher for sure.
We enjoyed your trip. What about the Belly Flops at the Jelly Belly Factory?? You left off the following going through Placerville: 1)history museum at Larson’s Apple Barn; 2) Side trip to Wright’s Lake / Ice House and the El Dorado Forest 3) Bridal Veil Falls off of Highway 50 in the spring 4) Echo Lake at Echo Summit 5) Finish all of this off with a good meal at Sprout’s Cafe in South Lake Tahoe! You left the following going through Auburn up Interstate 80: 1). Driving up to the top of Signal Peak near Soda Springs - great 4x4 trail - 11.1 miles - abandoned fire station, 2). Drive up highway 20 to a back road to Bowman Lake. You can actually take that road all the way up to another road that comes into Interstate 80 above Truckee. It is a beautiful back road - but again, it is best to have 4x4. Enjoy!!!
I love the Belly flops, fun to get good jelly bellys for cheap just cause they are not perfect shape. Dang you gave me so many more great tips, I want to go on the drive again now! Appreciate it!
Congrats for the video!!! Me and my family are going to California in December. We are so excited! The video is perfect!!! Thanks for share your experience with us!!!! Kisses from Brazil!!!🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Great information i youe Vids ,i try to get to the West Coast every year from Australia its a great watch to get to see places that arent in a tour thanks Again Tony from Australia
An actual good quality video that mentions my hometown, Placerville, and I'm glad you actually pronounced it correctly too. Just also wanted to mention, we kinda hate when its Apple Hill season because there is so much traffic for like a full month and we're just trying to get home
And, just up from Ikeda's, take Bowman exit off I80, go under freeway, turn right on frontage rd, pass elementary school, and watch for Machado's on the left, great produce and pies, including from their orchards and ovens.
That's not true at all! The North Fork of the American River gets as warm as a swimming pool in the summer! Wow, you must be really sensitive. Lol! Sometimes during a heat wave its not cold enough.
Love Knee Deep as well as moonraker brewing (located across the street from Knee deep). Often visit there after hiking throughout the Auburn confluence.
I don't know if you pass Vacaville, CA in your way up to Lake Tahoe there is Fenton's creamery, although the one that appears on UP movie is in Oakland, CA.
sugar bowl gondola, you go on this ride? Lake Tahoe, at 7:45 with jetti out into the lake with trees and a walking path with steps? I Need to find this spot YOUR LIVING THE DREAM!! Planning a trip through a few national parks on a road very soon. Will be taking this Scenic Drive next year with a loop from Temecula, to San Francisco (work) then over to ID, and down through the UT National Parks. about 40 HOURS of driving in a Miata with the top down! PURE FREEDOM!!
That clip at 7:45 is in Sand Harbor, I love Sand Harbor it is so beautiful, especially for sunset.Dang that national park trip sounds awesome, let me know what your favorite stop is!
Done this drive 40 times, somehow though we really have only stopped at Ikeda’s nice to see some other stops! But how could you give this place away to the internet it already has lines long enough.
I’m just here to say San Fran and Lake Tahoe are both amazing places. But don’t call a 4 hour drive a road trip. That could easily be a day activity. Leave at 6 in the morning get there at 10 and leave at 6 at night. As long as you’re not slouching around 8 hours at Tahoe gets you a drive around the lake, a tiny hike and swim to emerald bay, a tiny hike up to angora and jump off the cliff and going out to eat. at the red waffle place.(I can’t actually remember what it’s called but it’s so fucking good)
Good vid u dont care much about your health jelly bean factory..wow absoulutly neat. U are young. But u dont know how long u have. How long do u have. Are you ready to meet God are your sins forgiven.
This is awesome because I will be driving from SF to Tahoe next month on vacation from Florida with my son!!!
Your editing and writing are top notch. Well done. Another great video.
Thank you, I really appreciate it!
So glad I found this! Love your contents and love to find the gems from before.

Great stops in Auburn, my hometown! Excellent video as always!
The Tahoe East Shore Trail just opened this month. It's a hiking and biking trail that connects Sand Harbor with Incline Village.
California is so nice
Yes it’s one of the most beautiful and diverse states in the us.
Nah
After 50 years and now los Tigres del Norte played the same blues but in Spanish and now is a documentary in Netflix too. Great job on your videos Mr Josh thanks for all the tips.

Love your videos 👌
This is such a great idea for a channel!
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Nice assortment of stops. Used to swim in that river spot, cold water even in summer.
And, just up from Ikeda's, take Bowman exit off I80, go under freeway, turn right on frontage rd, pass elementary school, and watch for Machado's on the left, great produce and pies, including from their orchards and ovens.
Thanks for the tip, I will have to check it out next time!

Took the trip as well. Great trip!
Welcome to Kyburz, now leaving Kyburz.
I really enjoyed this. I was looking for exactly this. Not just another video of road and a lake and shaky camera, Lol! Thank you 😃 😀 Your Cool 😎😎😎
I don't know if you pass Vacaville, CA in your way up to Lake Tahoe there is Fenton's creamery, although the one that appears on UP movie is in Oakland, CA.
Very helpful, thanks!
Hey the Jelly Belly factory would be right up my alley! Love jelly beans!
Me too, it is one of my favorite candies for sure.
And I voted for the road trip 👍🏼👏🏼
Thanks for voting! It was the hardest one on the list to make but I am glad people wanted to see it!
You are the best Josh! All of these videos that you do are truly well done. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! It is so fun to hear that you enjoy them!
Bro I’ve been to Lake Tahoe last summer is so much fun It was like 8 hours long to get there since I live in Hemet.CA
Thank you very much for the video. I want to visit the city, but I don't know when to go, what month did you shoot this video? the sky is beautiful
Never stopped off in Auburn, will do next tym.
Foresthill bridge was in the movie XXX.
Ya, I watched the clip on TH-cam a few days ago, awesome stunt!
sugar bowl gondola, you go on this ride?

Cool! Tahoe City is a great spot to explore.
Well done sir 👍🏻 I subbed
Cool video man
I do this road trip about 10 times a year haha but from Oakland so basically the exact same
Lovely, thank you!
You might like to check out a restaurant called poor Reds it is in the town of El Dorado. Definitely worth the stop
I do this one but from east bay every winter
Ikeda's is just not pies. Have you tried the burgers there?
Cool intro!
Un video muy bonito! Ohhh Placerville, home town of Jaclyn Lovey. Is not Sacramento? My sistercity. Hug from Valencia, Spain.

Thank you!
Hows the drive during winter?
Cool.. 👍
I actually did this trip in late August
There is Ikeda's in Davis
Nice vid
Knee deep, Hell yeah
Done this drive 40 times, somehow though we really have only stopped at Ikeda’s nice to see some other stops! But how could you give this place away to the internet it already has lines long enough.
I live about one mile from Yankee jims
Hi neighbor. Colfax local, here 😉

Love your videos! It would be so cool if you did the most dog friendly places in California. 🐶🚗
Thanks! I wish I could take my bulldog more places but he is very old and lazy now haha
Pretty sure dumpling house is closed till further notice. There was a fire a while back.
That pie tho ❤️
You are doing a great job, but your videos are way too short. can you pleas aim for 15 - 20 minuets. just way too rushed. thanks
I live on Kingsbury
I wana visit South lake tahoe
woah dude we don't need to know what happened after that sandwich 2:34
meanwhile i just get in n out and get to tahoe as quick as possible
I live in Stateline you misrepresented the trip.
You need more info about Tahoe it self. I'm a Tahoe local and there's way more to do in Tahoe then on the way there.
A nice trip for a gourmand
You skipped my home town ( grass Valley)
He didn't skip it, he took 50 to Tahoe, than he took 80,
Grass Valley has fallen apart, too hippies growing and selling dope.
IKEDAS!!
No way! Over the summer I went from Lake Tahoe to San Francisco
First 🙃
Pathetic.
Maybe unpopular opinion but Jelly Beans are the most disgusting candy ever created.
Cheese does not caramelize
Folsom to South lake from someone who lives there sucks so much. Where I am from isn't interesting
G Jane Knochenhauer I live in Folsom as well
The rambunctious pimple perioperatively analyse because pillow bodily cross circa a loud dorothy. industrious, squeamish debt
Nice video but too much awful food. Not healthy...
Good vid u dont care much about your health jelly bean factory..wow absoulutly neat. U are young. But u dont know how long u have. How long do u have. Are you ready to meet God are your sins forgiven.
