Definitely feel the exact same way about autumn. "A depressing prelude to a long winter" is such a good way to describe it. As someone who also suffers from seasonal depression, I fear this time so much. The only comforting thing is that when I walk on the streets, there's this amazing smell of roasting chestnuts in the air from the street vendors. There are definitely a lot of charming aspects of autumn but I can't really enjoy them fully for this reason you mentioned. I will NEVER get tired of how cudly Beemo is. He was literally pawing at Kyuho's hand whenever he stopped petting him. He's like a dog in a cat body. What I would give to have a Beemo in my life 🥲😍
I’m so relieved to hear it’s not just me who feels this way, since it feels like the vast majority of people bathe in ‘fall-ness’. I do have a few ‘this is kind of nice’ moments, but I miss the lush green everywhere once the leaves fall 🥺
@@2hearts1seoul Yeah I have those too. When I can "smell" the snow in the air I do feel a bit of that childhood excitement and the thought of approaching Christmas. However, I do mourn the loss of sun and warmth. Especially since I love going on hikes and walks. When I come home from work around 5-6pm, it's already too dark to go for a walk so that makes me kinda sad. When I wake up and leave the house in the morning it's dark, when I come home it's also dark. Just constant darkness and cold. I used to love winter as a kid but now that I'm older, I need sunshine to warm my aching bones hehe. Let's just say I can't wait for spring already 😂
It's good to see Kyuho's mom is restarting her academy. She's such a great teacher it would be a shame for her not to reopen it. I can't watch Squid Game though I appreciate all the talent and expertise it took to make it and I'm so glad that people around the world are getting to see it. Hopefully they will discover other kdramas in the process. Korean TV and film is arguably the best in the world in my opinion. The reason I can't watch Squid Game is because I have an aversion to shows where all my favorite characters die. Life is too sad as it is to put myself through that kind of misery.

Humm, I actually like the Autumn “feel” in the air! This summer was incredibly hot, so this cooling down period is nice! Squid Games, has blown-up all over the World…here in America it’s still #1, but the fervor over it is slowing down a bit! I'm the same, fall is my favorite time of the year. There's something about the atmosphere with the beautiful colored falling leaves, pumpkins, baking, nicely cooled down temperatures and staying in with a hot cup of chocolate, tea, or coffee. The best. Also knowing that the holidays are near gives cozy relaxed vibes as well.
I found his hilarious when Kyuho’s attention was fixed on Beemo while Sarah was talking abt the change in climate. Sarah also turned to Kyuho 2 times but sir’s heart was fixed on another more precious being-completely unbothered about what Sarah was talking......oh ajjushi 😂😂😂😂

Hi guys~ thank you for another good content! I actually stopped the video while you, Sarah talk about being gloomy in autumn. Actually I've been this way for a long time since I was a kid. In France, we also have those 4 distinct seasons, and fall and winter drained all my energy too, I was always feeling kind of down. But then I live in New Caledonia for a year, where there's no real autumn and winter. Just hot summer and colder days and storms. Then I visited Korea and was so amazed by the color of autumn, and I came back to France and was also able to enjoy the autumn vibes and winter's charm . Since that time, where I could see autumn and winter with new eyes, I stopped feeling down. Just enjoying the seasons! Hope you'll be able to overcome it too one day! (but winter seems so hard in Korea so I understand that you apprehend it. Cheer up!!)
You are all so enterprising and creative. Many of us suffer from seasonal affective disorder. This time of year, I get my special lamp out to counter the darker days. When I lived in Norway, everyone had them. They really work, but you have to use them earlier in the day. Since we live in northern Minnesota close to Ontario, we just got our winter wood for stacking in the wood shed. Cold days and snow are only weeks away.
I’ve heard so much about those special lamps over the years! Do they really make that much of a difference? 😮 I feel like it’s really cooled off fast here as well 🥲

Yeah we can totally tell Fall is coming too. I usually run in the mornings at like 7:30ish, and it's starting to get too cold to just run in t-shirt and shorts. Beanie, gloves, and sweats here I come lol. But noooooo, would much rather run in t-shirt and shorts. And you know Fall is coming when your skin starts to get dry faster too. Nooooooo lol. The colours of the turning leaves has been beautiful here on the East Coast of Canada, but it is difficult to appreciate the colours when we know what is coming in winter. Hopefully, we will have a milder winter here in New Brunswick. Your cat is adorable btw 😍

wow!, It's a mess! Still a long way to complete the renovation. I could see the effects of covid 19. Same in America. Lots of small businesses closed. Hopefully, things will slowly change. Fall is the best time you can go out and start exercising. Bicycling is nice in Korea. Now that you got a new pants, go out enjoy cycling. Oh my goodness !!!!! I did not think anybody felt the same way I do, I don’t like the cold weather, and the transitions makes me so grumpy, I tried to stretch the wearing of warmer weather clothes as much as I can. Everybody is in pumpkin mode, I just want not to use a jacket and wear my Birkenstock sandals. And the academy looks great! Good luck!

Yummy seasonal snack checklist: hoettoek(and others) time, y'all! Maybe try Ugly Kitchen versions. Hot driiiinks! DIY hot cocoa mix. More rice cooker cakes/?crisps. Get a new Beemo sweater/hat/scarf. Kitty fashion show. Decorate the colony cats' houses. Collect warm fleeces for them. On a mental health note you may wish to ask you healthcare provider about a UV light or request a bloodtest to check yer vitamin D levels. Peace n ❤️

Tall Girl tale: Yesterday my sister stopped by. She was wearing the embroidered jeans I had passed on to her. They hit her at about capri/cropped length (cuuute) while they had been slightly too long on me. I will describe her to people as being, "Like me; just add 6 inches!"☺️♥️👖It was fun to get 'hand-me-ups' for a while when we were kids as my siblings eclipsed me in height.
Funny tidbit. I was looking to repaint the interior of my home. I finally settled on colours. I opened the vlog an my colour scheme matches your mom in laws new academy. I guess that's what I will settle for. It looks really nice.

So I’m not the only one who can’t fully enjoy fall because of the long, cold, dreary winter that follows. I hate naked trees. Even though summer is hotter than the devil’s toenails it’s still so pretty with all the green. I miss the green. 😢 All my friends are like, “I LOVE fall! Pumpkin spice everything and the fall colors are gorgeous.” I don’t like pumpkin spice everything. The fall colors are definitely beautiful and I really appreciate the beauty of the season but the thought of what comes after fills me with dread. Especially after Christmas is over. Oh well, spring will be here in a flash.

I'm so sad that you don't like fall, Sarah :( to me personally it's the most pretty time of year. All the colors come out, the final harvests are gathered, and it's time to slow down and remember that even the earth needs to rest once in a while - so it's the perfect time for us to rest and begin to look inward. At least that's how I have always viewed it, lol. It probably helps that all the mosquitoes die and the 98% humidity days finally break, lol. I'm allergic to everything that grows where I live, so when it's all dead, I feel great! 😂😂😂🤣😂 Kyuho's mom's new academy looks great! :D
It’s pretty, but I can’t enjoy it because after the leaves fall, the monthsss of cold weather and total lack of lush, green foliage is just so depressing to me :( We can’t bike. We can’t enjoy picnics and our other outdoor activities comfortably…it’s just so gloomy.
Beemo asking for food at 7am sounds like luxury because my cat does it from 5am. My friends have also suggested I get an automatic feeder but I've seen too many cats, like Beemo, try to just forcefully get food out, which ends up creating more trouble... Nothing can come between a cat and its food :D

I love autumn so much but it's been super humid, warm and rainy where I live - it shouldn't be. Thank you global warming. :( We had a super cold and rainy June/July. (which is more like fall weather). Then, August was super warm until now. I want hoodie weather.

For now she’s only doing baking classes (it was always a baking academy), but she was also thinking of sometimes maybe doing special pop-up classes in Seoul for cooking Korean food-nothing set in stone yet :)
Honestly, it’s very difficult, especially for pants 😩 Most clothes (especially bottoms) from Korean brands I can’t usually wear (the pant inseams, waist to hip ratio, and arm lengths just do not work for me). H&M used to be great for foreigners and taller people, but they’ve since replaced most of their ‘regular fit’ items with ‘Asian fit’ (shorter inseams, narrower fit in the hips, shorter arm length, etc.) I’ve sometimesss had success at Zara and Mango, but I think Uniqlo has the broadest range of sizes.

The colours of the turning leaves has been beautiful here on the East Coast of Canada, but it is difficult to appreciate the colours when we know what is coming in winter. Hopefully, we will have a milder winter here in New Brunswick. Your cat is adorable btw 😍

wow!, It's a mess! Still a long way to complete the renovation. I could see the effects of covid 19. Same in America. Lots of small businesses closed. Hopefully, things will slowly change. Fall is the best time you can go out and start exercising. Bicycling is nice in Korea. Now that you got a new pants, go out enjoy cycling. 원래 전 영화만 보고 영화만 좋아했는데 세라가 브레이킹 배드 보라고 설득한 후 이젠 시즌이 있는 드라마만 챙겨보네요 ㅋㅋ 영화는 시간상 캐릭터 설명과 전개가 빠른 반면에 확실히 드라마는 차근차근 캐릭터별 변화하는 모습들을 보며 더 감정 이입이 되는거 같아요 😃

oh, I start to get annoyed around this time of year because we're starting to get higher temperatures and I hhhhhate hot weather. winter is not gloomy to me but then maybe that's because it's only 3-4months and we don't get snow at all. it does rain quite a bit, but I don't mind rainy days

Oh my goodness !!!!! I did not think anybody felt the same way I do, I don’t like the cold weather, and the transitions makes me so grumpy, I tried to stretch the wearing of warmer weather clothes as much as I can. Everybody is in pumpkin mode, I just want not to use a jacket and wear my Birkenstock sandals.

Kitty fashion show. Decorate the colony cats' houses. Collect warm fleeces for them. On a mental health note you may wish to ask you healthcare provider about a UV light or request a bloodtest to check yer vitamin D levels.

i think you should do things that can appreciate the season e.g creating a cosy atmosphere on rainy days with music and candles and go out in nature and enjoy autumn walks and the changes in nature...... don't try to go against it accept it and find beauty and make it cosy :)

Tall Girl tale: Yesterday my sister stopped by. She was wearing the embroidered jeans I had passed on to her. They hit her at about capri/cropped length (cuuute) while they had been slightly too long on me. I will describe her to people as being, "Like me; just add 6 inches!"☺️♥️👖It was fun to get 'hand-me-ups' for a while when we were kids as my siblings eclipsed me in height.

So I’m not the only one who can’t fully enjoy fall because of the long, cold, dreary winter that follows. I hate naked trees. Even though summer is hotter than the devil’s toenails it’s still so pretty with all the green. I miss the green. 😢 All my friends are like, “I LOVE fall! Pumpkin spice everything and the fall colors are gorgeous.” I don’t like pumpkin spice everything. The fall colors are definitely beautiful and I really appreciate the beauty of the season but the thought of what comes after fills me with dread. Especially after Christmas is over. Oh well, spring will be here in a flash.
YES! That long absence of lush, green foliage is SO depressing to me :( And when the leaves fall in October-November ish here, I won’t get to see full-on green until maybe late April or early May. I totally feel you 🥲

I'm so sad that you don't like fall, Sarah :( to me personally it's the most pretty time of year. All the colors come out, the final harvests are gathered, and it's time to slow down and remember that even the earth needs to rest once in a while - so it's the perfect time for us to rest and begin to look inward. At least that's how I have always viewed it, lol. It probably helps that all the mosquitoes die and the 98% humidity days finally break, lol. I'm allergic to everything that grows where I live, so when it's all dead, I feel great! 😂😂😂🤣😂

It’s pretty, but I can’t enjoy it because after the leaves fall, the monthsss of cold weather and total lack of lush, green foliage is just so depressing to me :( We can’t bike. We can’t enjoy picnics and our other outdoor activities comfortably…it’s just so gloomy.

Beemo asking for food at 7am sounds like luxury because my cat does it from 5am. My friends have also suggested I get an automatic feeder but I've seen too many cats, like Beemo, try to just forcefully get food out, which ends up creating more trouble...

For now she’s only doing baking classes (it was always a baking academy), but she was also thinking of sometimes maybe doing special pop-up classes in Seoul for cooking Korean food-nothing set in stone yet :)

Hey, I'm a tall, bigger girl (size M/L in europe). What shops do you recommend in Korea?
Honestly, it’s very difficult, especially for pants 😩 Most clothes (especially bottoms) from Korean brands I can’t usually wear (the pant inseams, waist to hip ratio, and arm lengths just do not work for me). H&M used to be great for foreigners and taller people, but they’ve since replaced most of their ‘regular fit’ items with ‘Asian fit’ (shorter inseams, narrower fit in the hips, shorter arm length, etc.) I’ve sometimesss had success at Zara and Mango, but I think Uniqlo has the broadest range of sizes.
