Not to forget that the Voicemeeter also has a built in EQ for both Input and Output in which you can adjust even more and fix certain unwanted frequencies or boost some.
Also general rule: you don’t need the mic kissing your lips like the user is doing. Every pop (known as plosives) from the air generated from pronouncing P’s and B’s will literally punch the cardioid portion of the mic. If you have a pop filter on and that still doesn’t work as you think it should, place a fist between your chin and the filter, then have the distance applied between the filter and mic. Adjust as necessary. If you are compressing your audio or using limiters, these pops are going to be the loudest thing being recorded and will ruin audio levels, eq and more…causing more audio issues. High quality headphones amplify these punches too - literally punching the user’s ear drums. You want a clear as possible, even sound, to keep the listener engaged rather than the audio distracting and pushing users away.
@@soa9796 I have no idea I don’t even use this lmao i was just assuming louder everything besides noise suppression (if it’s even an option) would cause a very loud static sound lol
In regards to gates and compression - right click the sound meters and type -3. This will apply a LIMITER of 3db lower of 0db, which tries to act as a wall and restricts the output from being louder. Keep in mind that the more you limit the output, other frequencies become louder and will become a distraction.
Also suggest going from voicemeeter to nvidia voice instead of the other way around, because of compressor. The nvidia voice when peeking or clipping completely cuts off audio. So if the compressor kicks in b4 it clipps then ur golden
PRO TIP: If you're a content-creator/streamer, i suggest you turn on A1 (so u can hear urself) - cuz then u will be able to hear if ure too loud or too quiet, in certain scenarios, so you don't accidentally earrape your viewers or speak so quietly no one can hear. But it's just a personal preference, i always have it on. and it helps a lot.
