Celebrating New Years in the Philippines before is more intense than now. Today more Filipino are following government restrictions on using firecrackers. More types of much stronger firecracker are not available today in the market than before. And less casualties or firecracker related injuries are recorded today than before. From watusi, rebentador,5 star, kabase, pla-pla, latigo ni hudas, whistle bomb, kuwites, bambo cannon, acetylene and oxigen cannon, I tried all of those when I’m still young in the Philippines
Even in a smallest communities especially little boy kids can lit firecrackers. Even I myself used to lit firecrackers but I stopped for a long time because of firecracker incidents like loss of fingers. Every place in The Philippines except for Davao City in Mindanao Region have their own fireworks display and New Year countdown. There are concerts performed by Filipino singers and some foreign singers as well in different places. Anyway Happy New Year 2025 🎉🎉
Here in the 🇵🇭 . The beautiful & longest fire works is in our province. At about 8,000 feet above sea level & almost perfect cone when Mount Mayon erupts is beautiful 🎇🎆🧨😀😃😄😁😆😅
The fireworks start at night time depend on economy if The Philippines economy is doing well expect the War zone effect from 6pm upto Midnight that last up to more than 3 hours even in the morning there still lighting a random of fire crackers, over the tallest building is the best panoramic view of Manila Skylines is the best to watch this New Year's eve Spectacular fireworks displays
the economy has nothing to do with these fireworks. Go to the poorest areas of the city, the fireworks there are worse! I spent my childhood in a poor area in the 90s and the fireworks back then are much much more intense!
@ulyseslazaga4045 that's my observation only in the 70's and 80's you can hear fire crackers at 6:00pm then the high lights is in Midnight it so intense that you can hear yourself talking then lasted up to more than 3 hours but today it's milder but more fireworks during my time Roman candles and baby rocket light up the sky thank you for your information and Happy New year to you and your family

As much as it is a sign of celebration, we Filipinos also believe that setting off fireworks is an act of exorcising evil spirits and bad vibes to clear away the path for the arrival of the New Year. . . . . And I too, a Filipino living in Cavite, also set off crackling fountains and Bengal lights as I jump for joy for the sheer fun of it as my entire neighborhood is practically lit with hundreds of fireworks and firecrackers as the clock struck 12 midnight.
