I used to have a 2010 Evo and straight piped the thing. It was the loudest car I’ve ever owned and shot flames and popped like a machine gun. But I got pulled over just for the noise at least twice a month. I thought it sounded cool cause it was loud but it doesn’t. It sounds like a lawnmower while throwing firecrackers. When I got older my passion for cars didn’t die and I kept upgrading. I realized some cars’ engines are just meant to shut up and let the others do the talking.
Maybe that person thought he could afford it but turned out he couldn't. Almost happened to me, went to a dealership to check out a used Fiesta ST and almost left with a new 2019 Subaru Impreza, cuz they had already sold the ST an hour before I got to the dealer.

I dont know why people are hating in the comments. It looks actually really good for a fucking chevy cruze and its pretty rad. You don't have to like it (I think the fanbase for modified chevy cruzes are pretty few and far between) but you have to respect it. Its a really clean and funny project. Would I get one? Absolutely not. I would get an Si or whatever that "performance" trim is for the corolla before I would ever consider a Cruze. But shit man this thing is unique.
I actually think this is a sweet build, it looks pretty sick and has just enough power to be a fun daily. It makes waay to much noise for my blood but it's a charming and unique car through and through.
I have a Cruze myself and you’d actually be surprised on the size of the community around that car, we literally have an entire community dedicated to body, performance, wheels (since they are 105x5 lugs😒) and just a fun community and culture in general.
I have a 2014 Chevy Sonic LTZ hatchback with the 1.4T and it's a fun little nugget. It's about 400 lbs lighter than the Cruze at around 2,800 lbs, so it's fun to throw around. I've kept mine stock for reliability as it's my daily driver, but I could see myself tuning it in the future. Some people have made over 300 whp with a bigger turbo and supporting mods, so they certainly have some potential to be tuner cars. They're also dirt cheap now, so you can get one and modify it and not be out a lot of money.

I had a 2012 Chevy Cruze 1.4 Eco manual and it was a great car easily got 45 + MPG and bought it with 30,000 miles for 4k and now has over 170000 with no problems except changing old coolant lines and a thermostat around 100K miles which was easier than washing dishes and only cost 60$ or so
I have always liked the Cruze and the Sonic, nice driving cars, and something different than the legions of Hondas and Toyotas out there. In LTZ trim with the RS package they can be a nice little car. I wonder if the owner of that car will ever do a bigger engine swap...
The sonic is an interesting example of a fwd car that is easy to over steer because of its wheel base and weight distribution. Definitely stupid fun without anyone knowing about it.
I was never a big fan of these newer round chevy cruze. i always thought the older ones looked cooler but honestly this dude made this thing beautiful, I never batted an eye at these things but after seeing this it's pretty interesting.
I was really against the cruze for many reasons but about 3 weeks ago I test drove a 2017 with my friend to replace her totalled car and I was totally shocked. It handled well for what it was (for being stock), turbo made decent power but nothing too ridiculous, and it was relatively comfortable. They go for stupid cheap now.
I'm on my second cruze. 2016-19 . 2019 comes with alot of technology in it. I bought convenience package. Bout to install the cold intake and probably 18s,or 19"s . I really like this car no matter what people say. I love GM so I chose to something affordable. Since I was on a budget. The cruze is most definitely underrated. I mean it's not fast, but it's quick. Very comfortable, cant beat having wifi. Everywhere you go. One of the best features. Its roomier than it looks. I love the grill on the new 2019s. You have a ton options when upgrading. Only gripe is the speakers system. It comes stocked with 4 speakers. No rear 6x9s, or front dash tweeterspeakers. But you have the option to upgrade it if you want. OnStar is a plus as well. Remote access, anti theft, navigation, apple CarPlay, android auto, rear seat child reminder,and teen driver mode. The infotainment system is dope. Comes with plenty of apps. News,podcasts, weather, pandora, a calendar, Google music, and ect. There's so much with this vehicle, I can say it's a bang for the bucks. My fiance loves commuting in it. Cant wait to modifying. I know it resembles a civic, but only at a certain angle. When you see that bowtie you cant help but appreciate the design. Its winner in my book. Thanks for your review ,and also to the owner. That start stop feature will kill you,I was rear ended cause the car decided to shut off at the light than go after you press on the gas but it takes awhile to start back up.

My girl has a 2015 cruze that has completely GROWN on me. I’ve since put the black rims and did a muffler and resonator delete. No tune but I sure as hell get all the crackles on decel and down shifts. Down shifts sound fargin amazing lol. Only down side is that I’ve been having hard time finding parts for it so I’ve been fabricating as I go 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️. I love this one tho. Looks clean outside I’m just not fan of red interior but they have different colors for different taste. Good work bro. If it works for you then it works point blank period. No such thing as you can only mod certain cars. If You like it you like it idc wtf it is it’s yours and making it into what You want is the fun part.

Stock tune will do 12 - 16 PSI depending on the weather. It's a really strung out little engine. Most aftermarket tunes will do 16 - 21 PSI depending on conditions.

No tune but I sure as hell get all the crackles on decel and down shifts. Down shifts sound fargin amazing lol. Only down side is that I’ve been having hard time finding parts for it so I’ve been fabricating as I go 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️. I love this one tho. Looks clean outside I’m just not fan of red interior but they have different colors for different taste. Good work bro. If it works for you then it works point blank period. No such thing as you can only mod certain cars. If You like it you like it idc wtf it is it’s yours and making it into what You want is the fun part.

Stock tune will do 12 - 16 PSI depending on the weather. It's a really strung out little engine. Most aftermarket tunes will do 16 - 21 PSI depending on conditions.
