I think you go anderson because of his defense at multiple positions. If you pay him you can play him at numerous positions and gives further roster flexibility moving forward. Guerrero may not stick at third.
You should check how many innings pitchers pitcher last year before acquiring them. Often these low rates guys with sub two ERA were injured and only threw like 30 innings.
I’m currently reading the book Moneyball written by Michael Lewis. OBS really isn’t something the A’s tended to focus on during their early 2000s success. Instead Bills Bean and Paul Depodosta focused more on the Runs Created statistic. The pair also focused heavily on AVM technology, a brand new software that used past data to give an “expected runs created” for every play. Beane used these two measurements of talent to help build a competitive team with such a small budget.
Maybe make a video with MLB Rookies or players in who havent been the MLB yet. I just made a team (with a lot of trades) with a lot of young players like Wander Franco, Jo Adell, Christian Pache, Ke'Bryan Hayes, Vidal Brujan, Jazz Chizholm, Jesus Luzardo, Sixto Sanchez, and a lot more. Gonna be stacked in a couple years.
MLB's active roster is 26. There are 30 teams in the league, I suggest trying a challenge where you pick one player from each team besides within in the division of the chosen team to fill the roster(active). This would be a perfect 26. One wrinkle I suggest is not selecting the best/ superstar player from each team like trout and lindor and construing an all star team. Maybe place roles on the rotation/line up and select players accordingly. Anything to make it seem realistic. Your not going to have a high overall as a platoon/bench bat or at the bottom of the line up. Unless, however, they were a defensive wizard with low hitting stats in which case would make sense. Same with high overall(90+) as long reliever/5th option (more than likely). Make it even simpler you could just do one 90+ overall bat, sp, rp, an X amount of 80-90 overall bats, sp, rp and then rest fill the rest with 79 overall or less. Otherwise, great work!

The Mets trade was bad. How do you not try and get Jeff McNeil from the Mets ? At the very least you should have asked for Brandon Nimmo. Not sure why you would want to take on Familia, that's one of the Mets worst contracts right now. McNeil also made too much sense in the Chapman Trade.
Please focus more on the draft and try bring as many prospects as you can. Maybe do a bit longer rebuilds so we can see the hull development of the team
Matt Chapman and Matt Olson literally never play well in any Oakland franchise I’ve done. They only do well when you’re not controlling them that’s when Olson goes off for 55HR 130 RBI with a .320 average same for Chapman. Happens every single time I don’t get it
Growing up in Central California all my life and I have the privilege to see A’s game on Local TV and crazy to think in the show it’s just like the real Oakland A’s, they have a great/good season but playoffs they just disappear. Great Video🤙🏼
kind of an odd question but why does your screen make the A's green hue look more like green? My TV makes the green on the A's look more like a dark green.
do other teams moneyball rebuild feel like it would be interesting if other teams tried this. I feel like the brewers are doing a mini rebuild similar to what the a’s did
you missed a back up catcher for year one , that’s important cuz it narváez gets tired playing all 162 games he’s not gonna play well , or the cpu might throw someone who doesn’t catch to play catcher
Not necessarily true. Moneyball teams have super small windows of contention, typically at most 4, more like 2-3 tho, and Pausson is likely 3-4 years from the majors. (You never know, it’s really hard to read that far into a 17 year old’s career)
The Matts are solid, but they always regress in potential a ton, Bc franchise typically rewards high AVG or OBP players, and really undervalues defense, the calling card of the Matts and the A’s in general for the most part.
Yesterday I stole Tim Anderson and Jose Abreu from the Sox for Chris Devenski and Jose Altuve. And I was so glad I traded Altuve bc he had a 1.41 BA the next year and Timmy went off but I ended up trading Jose
Dude I've rebuilt all the bad teams (ranked 20-30) and I usually win the WS in year 3-4. The giants are the terrible! Absolutely no hope for that franchise lol
