Excellent video, thanks for doing this. Funny about your explanation of why you did it -- no youtube's, skeptical, etc...that is exactly where I am right now so finding this video was great. I just ordered their sample kit.
Thanks so much for making & posting this video. I wish I could see a video of your first wall as we are installing this on the wall behind our wall mounted TV that also has speakers so it would have been great to see that. Did you take down the speakers & wall mount covers & TV & TV mount for installation? Thanks again.
Did you find it difficult to find the stud to hang your tv/shelves after installing this product? It looks like its thin enough it wouldn't interfere with that, but curious to hear if this was an issue for you/others.
this is great just did my wall in living room would like to do the wall going into the garage but skeptical about doing a door your thoughts? any issues
Unfortunately this person doesn't respond to direct email questions unlike his video declares. He told me he was too busy to respond to 3 questions. Just a heads up.
Jim Donegan, I made this video 3.5 years ago. My only association with stikwood is as a customer. I made the video as a service for people who were clueless like me. You didn’t strike me as being clueless because you used fancy construction words like “rip” “carbide” and “irregular.” I try to respond to as many direct emails as I can. I receive more than you might assume. I’ll gladly answer questions when I have time but as I told you in my reply... my family is a bit higher on my priority depth chart. Remember when I told you that I was busy with my kids doing fun stuff before they started school? Anywho... I guess your gentle public shaming worked. Here’s your answers... 1) I used a Japanese pull saw. 2) I didn’t have any “unusual” cuts. my pull saw and utility knife were good enough for cutting around outlets. I recall that the adhesive was really strong and was a bit tough to cut through. But...again... I did this job nearly 4 years ago! 3) I don’t know the answer to this. I followed stikwood’s official directions and placed the first board near the top of the ceiling. As you might recall from the video... I’m not skilled at this stuff. And as I recall from your email... you seem to have skills... and tools. Jim... I kinda think that you know a lot more than me. You can do it! Your pal “This person”

I love this! The rooms look awesome!
Can you use a table saw to rip pieces for narrow spots?
Very nice look!!
Would you recommend this for renters?
No. Removal process is not kind to your walls
Do I have to sand the wall?

Is it actual wood. Or is it like a plastic to look like wood
I didn’t hear
Can it be installed as a flooring?
What color Stikwood did you use?
