are the trees a big attenuation for the lower yagis? do you have both a switch to listen on all the yagis or do you both listen on 4 yagi groups + high gain stack? great setup! so much work :-) cu in next contest on5gs
Where you have 4 Yagis on each level pointing in different directions, is each level linked with phasing harnesses or something to provide an omni directional effect?
Great setup! I wonder at what hight are the lowest antennas(4x6el.) and how high are 4x17? Congratulations from 9A5KM (9A1CRS contest team), always nice working DR9A (830 km) Best 73!
Mladen Krajnović I don't know. The max heigth of the lattice mast is 40m. The top may be 48m ... This video doesn' show the conplete height - see dr9a.de for more pictures.
Bonjour.
Cool video for sure but when I saw 14mhz it got a bit confusing??? That's not VHF. I'm not sure what's going on here - must be a general contest or something. - N9LT.

Good stuff. I wonder if you might need a few more antennas? I think I saw a gap on the mast. Nice Drone flying!

Your making the NSA jealous.
I feel like 2 rotors, and 2 beams with a nice horizontal loop at the top, could have saved a few grand here.

Where you have 4 Yagis on each level pointing in different directions, is each level linked with phasing harnesses or something to provide an omni directional effect?
the antennas are phased and it is a specific yagi design for this setup. otherwise the system will not work.

Which kind of rules you set for operators to go at the moment please? it looks like they are both in RUN mode...:)
most of the time: one operator uses only the west antennas, the other operator the east antennas. The fastest operator wins (can transmit).

Grid square jn48eq which puts them just west of Stuttgart Germany, almost on the France border.
This is why I don't, and won't, participate in contests. I'll leave it to you big buck guys.
why is there so many Yagi's pointing in so many directions?
Someone needs to make the Omni Yagi
WAIT “THE MEGAYAGI”
Whatever the most you can get in a circle without affecting the radiation of the others is. Mounted on a big circle thing
My best guess is is to direction find the contact and then the top masive yagi rotates to beam in the correct direciton.
