When I realize how useless my thoughts are, I feel my mind “drops” down and away. When that happens I notice a Silence that remains and I also realize how noisy my mind really is. I think this Silence is what Rupert would say is the Reality or the peace of the Self.
I was asking a Buddhist monk about chakras as I didn't have a clue. I'd left the organised Christian 'church' and belief in an outside god and wanted to know about truth within. As he explained his practises etc I just said. But we're already there. Why do all this if we are already perfect whole and one all in all. He actually agreed truth me. 💛
Of the countless number of hours enjoying the teachings of our beloved Rupert, this one for me is the most powerful, profound and crystal clear of them all. Thank you. Agape.❤
We must have all had the experience of “well where did the time go” when immersed in fun or interesting activities. Then the mind comes back in after and notices this phenomena.
Is The Truth "Being" or "Doing"? The Truth is "Doing" Everything, Including the words chosen and spoken by Rupert Spira! As taught by Self-Realization beings, such as Nisargadatta Maharaj and Ramana Maharshi..... "DO NOT THINK THAT YOU ARE THE DOER, THE ABSOLUTE DOES" ORO
Meditation is about seeing clearly. For example, without meditation one may spend an entire life running away from unpleasant thoughts (I don’t like where or who I am) and chasing after thoughts that appear to offer real happiness (fit body, nice house, moving to another city or country, etc). Without clarity one may never realize that these ideas and objects are and always have been as empty and ephemeral as water bubbles. If we drop our practice too soon because someone who no longer needs them tells us to, it’s like the alcoholic stopping AA because someone who has completed the program tells them “this sober mind is the same mind as the drunk mind” Therefore, we must be careful to understand that no matter how much people like Rupert make sense, the wisdom of the Buddha was greater because he knew that we all have the same awareness he had realized but would never experience that reality without being shown how to become disenchanted with those intoxicating ideas that keep us blindly running in circles all our lives, reaching our death having missed everything
If you were to approach a drug addict and tell them, “be satisfied now, you are already what you seek.” That would be ultimately true. But the addict may or may not cease fueling their addiction with drugs. They may or may not become sober. But if another were to approach the addict and direct their attention to see the ugliness , the harm, the suffering of their state, and simultaneously help them realize that they are fueling that suffering. It has a cause that can be removed, which will lead to the cessation of that suffering. The addict is more likely to know for themselves how to cease drug use, endure the pain of detox, and realize the bliss and freedom of sobriety. The latter is the Buddha’s guidance. He did not teach anything we have to do to then become happy/enlightened. He pointed out that we are fueling suffering by acting on greed, hatred, and delusion (action based in craving), and all that’s needed is to cease that doing, endure the debt of withdrawal from sensuality, until the natural state of the mind, unintoxicated, is realized. My only caution in the nondual approach is that we can simply create a new concept to grasp, and that leads to feeling lost when the concept loses its power to stimulate the mind and cover up the suffering that has not been understood, its origination abandoned, and its cessation realized. Whose view is this (to answer your question)? It’s the view of the Dhamma eye, the view of wisdom, that of all awakened beings (Buddhas).
One can be addicted to pleasant feelings coming out of the drug, there's not always suffering behind it, it's just the hungry ghost seeking blindly its food.@@Mountain_Dhamma
I enjoy Ruperts talks. However! Numerous times, he has stated that “infinite consciousness cannot know the finite” AND “the finite mind can never know infinite consciousness”. How then - can we approach the subject to begin with?
You are not a finite entity who has to embark on an incredible journey to find the infinite. You are already the infinite reality. Investigate your experience and this question will not arise anymore. When the infinite seems to know itself again, the apparent finite body, mind and world are transfigured and become servants of their source and substance. That's what Rupert is doing: using dualistic language to evoke in us That which can never be thought about. Fortunately, we don't need to think about the infinite, we just have to be KNOWINGLY that. The first step is to see that we have no evidence at all in experience that awareness is finite. That doesn't prove that awareness is infinite, but it does destroy our deep belief that I, awareness, am limited and contained within the body-mind. Then, why not live our lives as if awareness is unlimited? We've all lived our lives as if awareness is limited, and we have seen the results (suffering and conflict). Why not let the other possibility -awareness is unlimited - a chance to prove itself? What would be the confirmation from the universe that the possibility that awareness is eternal and infinite is the right one? Peace and love. Be a true scientist and test that in your experience.
Well, it's more simple than that... We don't have to figure it out.. We let go of figuring it out and then it isn't. But you are right. It is, basically 😅
I'd say yes. Contemplate on this instead: Lie down and close "your" eyes. Let this be the last thing that YOU DO. From then on, trust that EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING all this is about (the stuff Rupert and many others talk about) is already there. And then imagine that all there is is SPACE THAT'S SELFAWARE. Nothing else REALLY IS. And this ONE THING that exists happens NOT to be Larry Mac. And there you go. The grip of your ego lets go a bit. Maybe... 😂❤
this also means when your mom sees you while you are doing meditation and asks you what are you doing, you say i'm being meditation instead of i'm doing meditation
"anything you take a step towards is not yourself" - mind blown,

You are still being noticed, and still someone who can hear voices though it was noticed being silence. Thankyou.
Yes thank you

Just Blink eyes and “you are”…before after and in blinking …
Mind blowing ❤
Simplest of simplest 😊

Thank you Rupert - this is just what I needed to hear. Blessings to you and to all!
Such beautifully explained & in such an easy way for us to understand ( namastay)

You're right there, Rupert has spent a few decades doing homework...

Wah wah Aha wonderful Vishmaypurn Love'Beings thanks gretitude thanks ❤❤😮😅
The no path of “be” is backwards. It is the relaxation between the pulses. It is the no-thing. The beginning of death to life.
Is "relaxing into myself " a subtle form of trying to become?

It is so hard for the ego to accept that instead of what it's been doing for years, it could have simply "done" this.
Hu🎉🙏❤

hard to stop doing...😂
Good point.
Many teachers speak of it....countless times.
Many students pretend to understand.
I get the impression that no one truelly understands.
Thank you 🎉. Raphael aurea Vidya "Tat tvam asi"🤍👍✨🙏
