I feel the same way about comments about my family. Say mean things about me, fine. People frequently do. Don’t talk about my loved ones. It’s incredibly insensitive and hurtful.

There are a couple of YT gossipy forums, and all they do is trash channels. Wouldn't surprise me if some of those "ladies" troll comments. If people lack the ability to be respectful? Delete & block them...good riddance to bad rubbish. You two are my favorites.

I am ADDICTED to house, apartment, mobile home/modular home videos!!!! I may be home decor challenged but I LOVE how people who know what they're doing, make their homes functional, comfortable and stylish, all at the same time. To my mind..., it's magical. ONLY as long as Mom is good with it though...!!!

I’d love to see a tour of your mom’s house because it looked so beautiful when you last showed it, even unfinished. However, if your mom is at all uncomfortable with it I think that’s most important. I have no idea what people could have said last time that was snarky but honestly some people will find a way to be rude about anything. If you feel able to show the house while also protecting your mom, I would really love to see it.

I absolutely love that when you tried on the jeans you mentioned they didn’t fit you well and then you said, “that is not a ME issue, the jeans are just not cut right for my body.” Amen! I love that and hope to never forget it. I feel like too often we put ourselves down if something doesn’t fit us right, when truly it has nothing to do with us. ❤️
I love the joggers. But everything else is so expensive for what it is. Walmart has similar styles in the sweaters/cardigans for $20
Yes I got nearly the same cardigan in a darker grey from Kohls for under $15 (plus I used Kohls cash lol).
Get cabinets meant for laundry room definitely! Open shelves in my laundry room are a true pain to keep the dust off!

Your Mom is the bomb. Her presentation, knowledge and just understanding about how to manage diabetes was so helpful to me. I loved the video you two did. Just wanted her to know.
I hate putting away laundry. I’ve had a pile of Clean clothes on the floor of my bedroom since mid August. I was just using what i needed from it and dumping newly washed clothes into the pile. I’m proud to say I folded and put them all away this morning. Yay! Also I feel you on liking to clean the kitchen. I think that feeling comes from having a kitchen you like and feel proud of. I used to have the same problem with putting away clean dishes as with clothes, but I have a kitchen I love now and I’ve kept it spotless and put away all the dishes because I like seeing all sparkly and nice.
Love the end chatting and when you speed up your moving and the fast music it’s so light and airy and always makes me smile .
It’s fabulous your mom is so close , it’s up to her if she wants us to see her place , would love to see it , especially the kitchen.
I like the idea of moving the cabinet and getting bigger over the w&d, and painting a fresh color. Tell Dave he better and he has no choice but to make you the happiest woman on earth 😂😂😂

I love that you are doing these little Christmas / Holiday videos every day. Really gives me something to look forward to and I love the little jingle at the beginning that gets me in the spirit. I am a new TH-camr (different channel) and I know how much work goes into this so I hope you feel that it's worth it and that you are appreciated not only for your videos but everything you do in your videos to try and help others.

My favorite videos that you do are anything that involves cooking because I'm a nerd and newish (for the last year) housewife and feel like I need some inspiration for recipes and you have inspired me to not always follow recipes exactly and that has really helped with saving money. Also just love watching your videos in general. Hope your family has a safe and healthy holiday season!
The only thing to keep in mind about adding more cabinets instead of open shelving, is that is going to close the room up. So open shelves might be annoying but they will help keep the room feeling the same size
Keep the cupboards where they are and put the shelf above the the coat hooks. Bins/baskets can hold the hat/scarves/gloves. That way you repaint and install one shelf...I think you could do it without letting hubby know 😉 clothes...don’t mind doing laundry myself. After years of a love/hate relationship with it, I started putting it away as soon as it was done...OMG, what a difference it made and I don’t have to look at piles of laundry all the time. As for the clothes...I love the gray duster! I’m like you in that I love looking at house plans, house tours and have thought about becoming a realtor, but if there are concerns about your mom’s privacy and safety, then don’t do one. But let her decide once she is settled.
I just lost my mom to COVID. Why cant people just be nice? Family is everything. Respect and kindness is needed for everyone. Not meanness. I always smile with these vids! Merry Christmas!

I think it’s something you can keep to yourself as far as your moms house unless she’s okay with it. Unfortunately unkind people ruin it for those who genuinely care and love you
I think you are on the right track for your laundry. That just makes sense to repaint a room that bugs you, and changing out those cabinets, you would gain twice the storage also.
Love house tours. I think it’s your mom’s choice 100%.
For the chandelier, I would do a new chandelier that maybe has a swag chain so then you can hang it centered over the table but it’s hook up is still in the middle of that texturization.
I love houses, and am nosy and all that...but Mom's privacy and your comfort is more important than any of that!
Having trouble figuring out what would prompt a rude, mean or snarky comment about your mom or your family in general. I love how honest and down to earth you all are. Pretty sure those of us that love you all far out number the haters out there. You do what is right for you and your mom.

For laundry room open shelving, an idea could be wire shelving. I have wire shelving and the dust never collects on them much. I just put a microfiber cloth on the wire shelf where I have my laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets. This lets me just throw them in the wash. A cloth could also be an idea on wood shelves, since all the dust would collect on there and then it can just be thrown in the washer.
I agree with Katie C. I would be so, so sorry if someone broke into her house at any time, but especially if she were home and it was because you kindly did a tour of her house just because I would enjoy.
And about dust, I have been keeping house for 59 years and I almost never dust with a duster. You use your vacuum sweeper with the little attachment that comes with all vacuum sweepers, as far as I know. That is the secret of a clean house. Vacuum the floors, top of the curtain, blinds, top of woodwork, furniture, tables, cabinets, books, flowers, actually I think the only thing I don't vacuum is the water in the toilet. lol.. But it's true! You whole house will stay clean so much longer, you will be surprised.
My favs: Big olive jacket, the EPIC grey jacket and the joggers.
What kind of shameful soul would dare talk ugly about your lovely momma?!!! I am pissed!!! Any person being rude should be blocked and deleted!!! You do what ever is comfortable for your mom and don't worry about it one bit! Seriously Christine, your family is awesome and none of your deserve to be treated badly by any one. Originally I subscribed to you for all the cooking ideas and tips for meal planning.. But I loved when you guys started doing all the small little home updates it's been awesome to watch everytging get a little freshen up face lift.. I can't wait to see the basement when you guys are done..I'm sure when the basement is done you can coax Dave to help with the little laundry room refresh..

Absolutely a house tour of your mom’s new house! I love seeing other people’s houses and how they decorate etc. to get new ideas for myself! I can’t understand why people would be mean about your mom’s house! She’s worked hard and raised her family, she took care of her sick husband until he passed away and now she finally gets to do something for herself! Good for her! And it’s impossible to have too many lights in the kitchen!

I’m the same! I love looking a new builds and see how people decide on their layouts.
Everyone's washes their clothes separately. Each kid gets a basket and does his/her laundry. I promise with time it will work and each person learns a beneficial life skill. When we teach our kids independence, that's the greatest gift a mom can pass on to them. Teaching them to take care of themselves. It worked for my family.
Christine, I think you should do whatever keeps your Mom safe. Include her in the decision or if you share a cooking session there, be minimal with what you show the public. You would never forgive yourself if she was harmed physically or emotionally. Blessings! Willette 🙂

I just absolutely love house tours!! I just love being taken around other peoples space w/ their commentary, seeing how they’ve designed and decorated and used all of their creative goodness. It gives me inspiration! 💜
Something I bought at Walmart a couple of years ago and that I really love is a heated mattress pad. It goes on the bed under the bottom sheet. Mine is for a queen sized mattress and has controls for each side of the bed. I use mine often and sleep with the pad on all night. My husband never uses his side. You might like it.
I like to watch these types of videos when I really need a kick start to cleaning for the day.

My husband and I started repainting our house. We’ve been in it for 3 yrs and skipped painting baseboards and door jams and what have you. We went with grey walls, white baseboards and door jams, and like a charcoal black for the doors. Now we’re eyeballing the floors and our couch and the countertops.. all just shade of brown, brown tile, brown carpet, brown cabinets (we can paint those), brown granite countertops, brown couch. Now we’re looking at buying a new couch and redoing floors. If you give a mouse a cookie.. the whole house gets renovated 😂

If you wanted to keep the laundry room kinda fun you could paint the walls the neutral color like Sea Salt then stencil the floor tiles in a bold pattern.

After a long workday, I enjoy relaxing with your videos as you clean. And I HATE putting laundry away! I made it my kids chore years ago. Sadly my youngest is only home for another year before she goes to college and then it’s all on me.

I would absolutely love to have a tour of you Moms new house. I love seeing the newer paint colors that are in style now. But, not at the expense if you think there would be snarky comments. I loved the coat on you best! So cute! I used to hate folding laundry and now I don’t mind it as much after watching Marie Kondo and how she does it.
The one thing would definitely be the joggers. Gray sweater .. great and olive jacket. The jeans actually look good from here but no jeans are good that don’t feel good.
For my lights I always choose ones that the fixtures point ⬇️ so no flies in , we live in a rural community and we have flies .
Open shelf above the bench and bins for hats and gloves. Like the blue ones in Haley's closet.

I like a nice chandelier over the table, you could check for a long wide one, it might fit better with the table placement and hide the ceiling carving.
Personally, I would get the deeper cupboards for your laundry. Just remember that the back of those will still be a long way to reach to. :: Love the grey hoodie cardigan and the puffer jacket. Don't mind the blue & white sweater. The fit isn't great, but it's also not terrible. No on the cowl neck, and the plaid shirt. Yes on the camo joggers. I do like the jeans on you, but if they aren't comfy, then don't keep them. I pretty much agreed with you on everything, I think. My one keeper, if that's all I could choose, would be the grey hoodie cardigan.
Your mom is adorable! A home tour would be cool, but it is totally her choice and yours. I have always been fascinated by the home building process. Everything that goes into building a home is so overwhelming.

I have to say, to hear that anyone would be hateful or snarky to you or your family is so disappointing and saddening. Truly makes my heart heavy.... no one, at all deserves that.... and no one has the right to do that. How do they sleep at night... I just don’t get it. So sorry.... everyone’s Mom is precious and endearing.... I lost my Mom 3 years ago and can’t imagine saying or thinking anything negative of someone else’s momma.
