I'm an ISTJ. I don't mind making a guess if someone asks me to, but I will make it VERY clear that I am just guessing, and that I am most likely wrong because I have no factual basis.

Well come on, hurry up, I don't have time for this, I'm hungry now. Geez pal, look, some things need preparing, I have to go look at the fridge first. No, you're twenty-five years old, you better know what the hell you want before you even get out of this damned computer chair. That's not a question I can answer without all the facts! Isfj here. It took me probably about two years before I felt that I really knew what my type was for sure. I would spend every night watching multiple videos on every single function and I would make notations and cross off what types I ruled out in the process. I gave every single type an equal shot. A few more years after finally feeling that I absolutely knew I had that most accurate type, I started watching your videos on masculine/feminine functions, as well as types who “jump” functions. I believe I utilize masculine Si and have feminine Fe. My mother who’s an Isfp uses masculine feeling, and although she uses a different type of feeling than myself, I’ve come to find that my feeling is much more accommodating, unlike my Si and Ti can be. I’m fairly certain that I process and function closest to a jumper of my type. Although I’m still very able to pick up on Fe well, I can only utilize it in smaller spurts, and I feel that I’m compromising if I utilize it too much. I know that probably doesn’t make a lot of sense; and this has turned into a journal, I’m sorry!
Thank you for your time dedicated to sharing your perspective and personal experiences and observations. Your videos have been very interesting and informative.

Double masculine on top Ni/Ti. I relate a lot to that fear of "perhaps I've missed something". Took me a little while, but unlike your strategy, I always guessed first and then unguessed later as data came in lol. But now I'm pretty sure of my type, just like you seem of yours. Even the functions "gender thing" xD

Brooo i feel like im where you were a year ago maybe you could help me? For the longest time i thought i was an NT but recently after learning more and reading books and shit i feel like i might be an isfj (Si Ti) its odd because i feel like my Ne is pretty good but my Si is also pretty good(aside from me being very messy but i feel thats just a stereotype) and i think im an Observer because the identity and tribe problems isn't really that big for me, but at the same same time my Fe is trash if you talk to me about feelings and i feel this i feel that bullshit i get *exhausted* also a day full of pretending to care about what people are saying makes me tired af. So i thought i have Inferior Fe, but worrying about tribe harmony doesn't resonate with me also dom Ti doesn't make sense i dont have very strong opinions if you show me facts ill change my mind. I might just have a bad understanding of functions ive been learning for like only 3-4 months i have a lot to learn

Ne is all about ideas. E.g. I enjoy thinking about changing my room’s furniture placement because my Ne comes up with new ideas on what if the furniture is placed like this and this... Si is about control. It wants everything physical to be well defined and constant. In the furniture example, my Si hates it when I try to change something in my room and I have to be in constant irritation for some time.

I notice that Si people are reluctant to change the arrangement of their furniture, at least not too often. They become familiar and accustomed to a certain arrangement, say, a favourite chair, which is associated with comfort, safety and nice memories. Attachment grows with time, and the structure becomes internalised.

I thought I had high Ne bc I'm relatively good at guessing when talking with the everyday folk, but in reality... I grew up a very multi-dimenstional childhood that gave me a lots of data for different kinds of situations, people, lives, concepts & facts that I just readily accept anything related to them. But if it's anything new that wasn't covered when I was a kid/teen? Oh boy, that is when I freeze and try to come up with Ne-guesses that are a tad bit outdated. So it's kinda all about that Si library of one's mind and whether or not things were shown into there to be digested for later use.

When I was young in school that was very accurate, like answers on a test, afraid of getting it wrong so I was one if those who took forever with tests. I would answer the questions I knew for sure. Then go to the hard ones, and sometimes second guess the "easy" ones. I would get so lost in contemplation that test time was over and I'm stuck with unanswered questions. It has definitely developed more now that I'm older, I do pretty well with crossword puzzles and games like scrabble or any other word games.

I (an ISFJ) get stuck when a person starts a question/statement in one direction and ends in another direction.
Both directions are similar directions, but the contexts are different (e.g. I work at a bike shop. Tires and tubes are in a related direction, but are different contexts) and end up frozen, unable to respond because I can't decipher what they're asking. Or I ask, "How do you mean?" One or the other.

  • @darkrebel123
    @darkrebel123 ปีที่แล้ว

Yeah this is spot on about N being guesswork. I'm INFP with a PhD, and my entire academic success came down to my reliance on guesswork. I aced like 75% of my tests because I'm not afraid to bank on my guesswork. My whole cognat8ve framework since I was like 5 has been: make new observation, follow up with "huh I wonder why" and guess the answer and then follow up with more info if needed. I don't think I have ever ever been like "huh I wonder why that is, let me go gather more information, and then I'll figure out the answer."

In court for example you need to learn how to shape those sensory terms in order to suit you and your story. that's why I like law so much because searching for loopholes and how to twist the laws, so they support your argument, seems so fun.

I started laughing like a millisecond before Shan and then could not stop laughing because then we were both laughing. Damn F-Fi 😂 I needed the laugh though!
Okay so, I can see how this plays out on the Si/Ne axis, but about about Se/NiNi/Se. As lead Se I am aware of many of the guesses that can be made I’m just less likely to act on those guesses. If compared notes with Ne’s though and there aren’t really possibilities I’m not seeing. Are there supposed to be? Or is it just that I won’t make decisions on them as soon as an Ne?

Guesser sounds way more like what my INFJ does with her 1Ni. What this INTP does with my 2Ne is explore abstract possibilities. Where are the bathrooms in the house? Could be that door in the hall, altho it could be closet, or a pantry, or where Harry Potter lives. The bathroom could be upstairs. Or downstairs. Maybe they have an outhouse. That would be really old-timey. I wonder if they have a dumb waiter, too. That's old-timey. Oh yeah, bathrooms...

Ne needs to slow down in taking info & guessing and should organize,
Si needs to slow down organizing and take in more info

I hadn’t necessarily thought about that, but now that I do, I see that the scripted videos were actually more “fun” imo [because I felt as though I had more information to play with].
