I LOVE plain spoken woman or man who gives the info/facts without any theatrics, isn’t enthralled with themselves being on camera and just gives us what we need to know. No b s ! Thank you !
Thank you so much, you saved us in a pinch, couldn't find blueberry pie filling anywhere nearby, doing a handpie thing for my wife's special ed class tomorrow, only thing they had no allergies to were blueberries, got an abundance fresh berries, I'm completely inept when it comes to baking anything, thank you thank you thank you! Came out amazing!
You are great! You gave measurements, explanations and extra idea’s. I seen other blueberry filling videos and there’s no measurements for those that are new to this baking and a lot of gabbing that doesn’t edify. Thank You so much for your presentation. 👍🏼
I had 18 oz of blueberries and kept the same amount of sugar for 9 oz and it came out perfectly. Take that information as you will, reader. I also added a splash of contreau and the filling was perfection.
Thank you Dorothy, made the pie filling this morning and just picked up crescent rolls to make danishes for my luncheon tomorrow, the blueberry filling smelled delicious and can’t wait to try them, might not make the luncheon…fond wishes from Ontario!
I just made this with frozen BBs, but I doubled it because the bag was 4cups total berries. It’s fantastic, and not too sweet. This over ice cream will be amazing! 👍🏻🇨🇦
I used blueberries that were frozen and very small. They were very tart so I had to add extra sugar. Mmmm to much.. so I strained them and made syrup. The extra tart pushed out of the blueberries was perfect to take a little of that sugar taste away and on pancakes. Everyone said it was like Perkins syrup.. well except it wasn't syrupy in texture. I also had added less than a pinch of salt for the tartness and butter... added the butter before the recipe was read.. it makes it nice and smooth. I think that is what it did. Salt wasn't needed I was just trying to get rid of that weird flavor.. maybe it was freezer burn? This is a good recipe though. I just had to adjust for my berries. Use sweet plump if you can find them or a good frozen brand. Mine just wasn't good enough for this recipe.
You never told us how much blue berries to add. I did 10 and then used the rest of your measurements. Now I have 10 extremely soggy and sweet blue berries.
Depends on how much you put in . If you put a little you should have a nice sweet tasting filling, but if you put a lot its probably going to be sour.👍

Works with unripe pear as well!!! Turned out unimaginably delicious 😍

Sounds great!
That over ice cream won’t be too sweet?
Can this be canned???
Yes
@sharonhoag6098 since the tinned blueberries are in syrup, would you skip the first step in this recipe and just add the cornflour mixture?
Tyfs new subscriber luv your channel
Thanks for subbing!
How can we use dried blue berries? Plz suggest
I'm not sure - I've never tried them.
I would think that you need to hydrate them first???
Yay! My mother has a field of blueberries that she froze but refuses to make anything with it!!!!!
I like my blueberry pie sweet so I would double the sugar in this recipe.

Why is mine always cloudy and opaque!?? lol
Used serviceberries from my neighbor’s tree instead of blueberries and made a delicious serviceberry pie!
Cornstarch is not allowed by FDA. ONLY SUREJEL.
She's not canning it. Just putting it in a jar.
Love it🪄

will my pie be sour since I put lemon juice in? 🥲
