I don't have the biggest room, would it be possible using the Flightscope behind the ball about 5 feet and the ball 6 feet from the screen? Or would the reading of the ball be COMPLETELY off to the point its unplayable. Thanks for the help if you do see this. Love the vid!
Good info and great tips. I have found Mevo Plus to be very sensitive with distance from screen and distance to ball. I have a low launch on my driver and when using the Mevo Plus, it requires a completely different swing to get a higher launch angles and simply does not work well for me. Everything else with the Mevo Plus is fantastic (except putting) and I have hit thousands of balls on my Mevo Plus. The driver is the only club that I am not happy with the Mevo Plus, so I just don't use it much when using my sim.
Hey just saw this! I have a low launch driver as well and haven't had issues since the rct ball update. Are you using the Rct balls and clicking the "RCT ball" in the program you are using?
Hi, sorry to bother you. It concerns me ever since I got my mevo+. I carry around 260~270 yrs on real golf course, yet with mevo+ I can barely carry over 240. Do you have any idea what could cause the issue? Anything below driver seems to work alright. 3W carry 230, rescue 210, 5i carry 190 and so on. Does Tee height matters?
Great stuff. I have the mevo+ set up in my townhome garage. I have a high(er) swing speed of about 115mph with the driver and around 105ish with 3wood. I am finding it's readings are super inaccurate even with the RCT balls for higher faster clubs while pretty dang accurate for like 4i-50 degree. I am going to try your setup distances (I currently use 8' 6" from ball to sensor and about 9 ft for ball to screen), so this might help, but curious if you ever have to adjust the Tee Height setting when hitting driver in the FS Golf range or anything like that? Im good at keeping setup the same every time and normally set it at 12 and less than 1 roll. Trying to get this thing really dialed in. Thanks.

Just got my mevo+ The info it came with says to have the hitting area 6" to the left of center and putting 9" to the right of center. You have the ball lined up with the center. Have you tried the way Flightscope says to do it and what do you think of doing it their way?
its interesting about the driver reading i tend to have a lower launch with my driver and even out on the driving range (unlimited flight) i will find that it sometimes misreads the shot shape
Question about the stand you have your Mevo plus sitting in. Does this not create the half pike effect you were warning us about? I see how it would be ideal for adjusting tilt and roll. Also, where did you get that stand?
Hi folks. Recently updated my mevo plus 2023 model. Have pro package and face detection. I'm about 11 feet from screen to tee and 8 feet from tee to mevo. Its really struggling to give me correct swing speed and distances with 3 wood and driver. Was OK before update. Is there any settings I can adjust to get it back to more accurate ? Before the update it was much more accurate. I use gspro also and its the same now on that with distance and swing speed. I have also adjusted my gspro altitude setting to 98m above as this is my altitude. Any help would be great cheers

@@garinoroark2005 I got everything from US Sports Turf. The blue turf is sold out I believe but it is the AM25 style. The hitting strip is their tee line turf. A couple other videos I have walk through how to build the hitting strip and where to get the turf.
I have a setup similar to yours. My Mevo+ has a hard time registering putts. My frame is surrounding by metal unistrut, whereas I noticed many people have theirs loose on the bottom. I removed the unistrut, so its better but still not great. Misses more putts than it reads, so usual course of action is just to give up and move to the next hole. Do you have suggestions? (Would be worthy of its own video.)
No matter how expensive a device I have, I will never putt on a simulator. I find it takes up time and will never be realistic. I just do autoputt, play more holes, have more fun, and move on if i'm being honest.
Another question. I have a smilar setup as yours, but I haven't found a good to protect against someone skulling a dirve (a "worm burner") and the ball violently bouncing back. Letting the screen hang is good, although then balls go behind it, AND I'm really talking about when someone smacks 100 mph+ into the part BELOW the screen. What has been your experience?
So we have a bumper on the bottom and get bounce back so I have a table covering my mevo plus with polycarbonate hanging in front that protects from bounceback. But overall as long as it doesn't hurt anyone I kind of just expect it.Is that what your asking or more so how to keep it from bouncing back at all?
So ok these tips are great but are there any ways to get chips to read without having a separate hitting spot? My setup doesn't allow for a secondary hitting area? Also my Mevo is needed to a table on the left side of the device. Will having the left side closed off prevent radar accuracy? Should I move the desk further away from the device?
I think with the fusion tracking update chips will read better now, maybe try 7 feet for chipping. I think the table should be fine, I would test it out with and without and see if there is a noticeable difference

I've had mine for 2 years and have had pretty good success using very similar techniques. I'll try the short chips further back too, although I've had good luck at 7ft. What do you do for putting, I'm still struggling with that on occasion. My best results are at 4-6 for putting, lift the putter fast and maybe push it right to get the mevo to see it. Thoughts?
I never putt on a simulator because I find it just adds time and doesn’t really make me much better at putting. So I don’t have much advice on that because I’ve rarely used the putting feature. Sorry wish I could be of help
Great question, I have only had 2 golfers that will hit a full swing 60 degree above the impact screen out of maybe 70 golfers. If I was to do it again I would make the screen 10 feet high.
@GolfBusters my screen is 10 ft tall. I have a Skytrak because I didn't have the space for a Mevo at my previous location. Now that I have the space, I want a Mevo because I'm left-handed and my wife and kids are right-handed. It's a pain to move the launch monitor back and forth when we want to play different games. @JesusIsLord2011 I think you’ll be very happy with the Mevo+ I’ve been testing both the skytrak+ and Mevo+ and I’ve found them both to be great. Carry slightly more accurate with Mevo+ shot shape slightly more accurate with skytrak plus. I think accuracy is a toss up and if you have lefties Mevo+ is the way to go. Hope someone sees this and can help. I just got the Mevo+. I have it set up in my garage. The mevo is the same level as my mat 8 feet behind the ball. And my net is 10 feet away from my tee. My irons seem good, 7 iron about 165 to 170. Pull 5 irons going in the 195 range. But when I get to 3 wood I have 148 ball speed 10.1 degree launch 1.41 smash and it goes 215. I don’t know why. And my driver is 160 ball speed 1.4 smash and it only goes 220. I usually hit my driver in the 260 to 270 range. Can anyone help? Edit: the shot shape seems great tho. Just the yardages seem way too short

On the FS golf app on my iPhone. The spin I think for 3 wood was around 5k and similar for driver. Which seems a little high to me. But the ball speed and club speed seemed spot on but the distance was way off
Edit: 3000 spin. 145 ball speed 102 club speed 1.43 smash 100 feet height 14.8 launch angle for driver. Distance 230. Ball speed seems low for my usual but could be accurate.

I found this on a forum "At the other end, your flight distance needs to be optimized for your driver swing speed. I swing driver in low 90s, and I'm satisfied with reads I get at nine feet of flight. My SWAG at optimal flight distance is one foot of flight for every 10 mph of driver club speed. So 100mph needs 10 feet of flight. I suspect the guys at 110+ probably need regular indoor mode and 12' of flight, minimum. " In the videos I see you swing at 110 to 115 mph with driver and have 10.5' of distance from ball to net. Have you experienced any problems as described above? I only have 10' and cannot create anymore.
I have a question about the centering of the mevo plus. My spacing in my basement is going to force me to have the ball about a foot to the right of the center of the screen so I don’t hit the side wall on my backswing. If I line up the mevo plus centered behind my ball but obviously to the right of center at the screen, will that give me issues? Or will the display just show the ball launching from the center? Thanks!
So the Mevo is going to read perfect but there are settings to adjust projector offsets. So usually there is a setting to say your device is x amount offset from the center and that will adjust your projector
After reading your comment again I realized you were talking about the settings on the projector. The projector will be mounted and perfectly centered. It’s just the mevo plus that will be off centered. So I assuming that will be fine? I won’t have to do anything with the projector or mevo plus? Thanks!
We’re taking about the same thing. Your projector is centered but you are hitting off center. So the Mevo will read perfect but your shot will appear at the center of the screen so it will look weird. The offset feature will allow your ball to be centered where your ball is.

We have a bunch of guys with the same swing speeds as you with no issues. I would try to get at least 10 feet of ball flight!

I’ve found that the 20 yard chipping setting is the perfect limit. Any thing under 9 yards had trouble reading from the traditional 8 feet

A looser bottom and then a maybe use velcro tape to adhere the screen to the floor?

Can you hit 60° wedges on this setup? Seems like the ball would be hitting the roof from 10.5 feet from the impact screen.

Hey what’s the spin? Are you using GSPro? RCT balls? We recommend GSPro and RCT balls while clicking the RCT ball setting in your application

@josephgramignano8137 get RCT balls, it’s a completely different device with them. Dots are a huge downgrade on driver spin.

Nope! 10.5 feet works great for us and we have multiple guys in the low 120s
