Fun fact: The jade needles on the iron shell restraints on Tai Lung's back are used to block his meridians so he cannot channel qi throughout his body in order to strengthen himself when fighting.

Tai lung's escape, shen's monologue and quotes, kai's chained knives, chi control and jade soldiers are the best things in the top 4 best things in the movies, number one is Po's flash back where he masters inner peace, tying with scene where he masters chi control of dragon, and subsequently tying with the scene where he uses wuxi finger on Kai

That was when Po revealed the true secret of the Dragon Scroll. To be the Dragon Warrior, doesn't mean you are chosen... It means you have no one to be, but yourself .. Tai Lung was not himself. He was trying to be someone else..
The feather, the ballista bolts, the elevator...every step they took to stop him only aided him further.
But also not discounting the fact that he's still energetic after years of immobilisation, weighed down by boulders at the wrists.

Tai Lung may not be the most powerful character in the Kung Fu Panda Universe but considering he's been locked up for so long his combat skills are still clean as fuck. Not enough people acknowledge that.
I mean, tai lung is often considered as weaker than kai but, he was in prison for 20 years not being able to move a single muscle. After that you would be weak as hell and to really get confortable moving again would take some time. While Kai had the time to train and fight masters in the mortal realm for 500 years. Not mentioning if tai lung could steal chi he’d have the chi of every one of the 5+Shifu’s. And if Kai wasn’t a spirit, he would have been beaten by po in seconds with the scadoosh

Ogway had 500 years to train as well 😂
And Ogway the magnificent is literally the master and creator of Kung Fu and a master chi user. He literally predicts the future.
The only reason why Ogway beat Tai Lung is because Ogway also used a Chi technique against Tai Lung.
But in the movie it is seen that, Tai-lung also has his own paralyzing technique. Meaning over time being stuck in the prison for 20 years, Tai Lung was just meditating, learning his own chi attack and memorizing what Ogway did to him.
@@aldo0368 tai lung wasn’t fighting Ogway, he was trying to get the dragon scroll, so.. I think we can say they weren’t fighting but ogway just knocked him out while tai lung was reaching to the scroll

Tai lung is clever, strong and merciless a dangerous combination that made him my favorite villain, twisted by the weight of expectation before realizing he couldn’t achieve what he set out to do since birth he tried to take it by force
