I always thought it was so powerful that they showed Tai-Lung looking at his reflection when he says 'It's nothing!', showing how he really feels about himself.
Most, if not all, people would've taken the line as Tai-Lung realizing that the scroll is empty of writing or mystical power, only containing a thin layer of reflective metal. However, your perception of that line is interesting since that could fit in with the cat's personality so well. He spent his entire life trying to be the Dragon Warrior only to go on a rampage and end up rotting for 20 years in prison following a fight with his adoptive father. Without aiming to be the Dragon Warrior, what was he? He had nothing after that. Prison didn't help either. In fact, it only compounded his self-loathing and made him so much more desperate for the Scroll. Of course he wouldn't believe that he was good enough after those 20 years. Of course he would see only nothing in himself if what he thought would make him whole was something external.
And then is beautifully followed up by Po saying “it’s just you” and showing his reflection in the scroll, for the first time in the movie, happy and content with who he is
Lets not forget the fact that this entire fight was a spanish bullfighting, with po using the scroll as the red mantle and tai lung as the bull focus more on the mantle than in the matador until he gets tired.
I love how the movie sets up and pays everything off in the fight. Especially the acupuncture scene that shows po has deep nerves therefore tai lung’s nerves punches don’t work.
The true reason why Tai Lung lost at the end was because he got so confused by the empty dragon scroll, unable to believe that the greatest scroll had no great secret, but just a simple message that you are the secret. Tai Lung, who believed only in external sources for Kung Fu, was so confused by it.
LETS GO!!!!! Tai Lung really wanted a legendary battle, and it was till the very end. Po really held himself well against his pressure point attacks as his body weight and strength kept him alive throughout the fight. Hence why Po's the dragon warrior through and through the trilogy.
Tai Lung lost to Po because Po unlike your stereotypical Kung Fu warrior was different, he had an unconventional approach to Kung Fu which made him unpredictable I guess that's what master ugwe saw when he chose Po as the Dragon Warrior.
Nope...Shen is much better...He is smart, intelligent, skilled and was the most developed villain in the entire franchise...He is the only villain in this franchise who accepted what he thought was wrong and accepted his fate during his death like a man...He is the only villain in this franchise who almost killed po in three different occasions and he is the only villain in this franchise who emotionally affected po much deeper than the other villains...There are so many things like this to prove shen is the best villain in kung fu panda trilogy
I know people talk about the goofiness of this fight and Po's plot armor, but if you think about this fight in the context of reality it's kinda interesting. A fight between a snow leopard which do live in China and a giant panda is entirely possible. And the likely result would be the much larger bear scaring the much smaller leopard off or injuring it badly. I think Tai Lung and most of the other characters who fight Po are the ones with plot armor because in the real world pandas are genuinely bears which means they're one of the largest predators in their region (the south china tiger is about the same size as a panda) even though they don't hunt like a predator. Pandas are small for bears, but they're still fucking big; they still have the big sharp claws and teeth of any other bear and they're actually designed to eat meat just like any other bear (they just don't for some reason).
That's a logical comparison but I think the point of this fight is likely to show the audience that you can master a martial art for your whole life, and be considered one of the greatest fighter's with respect to that art. That being said, in a real fight against a complete stranger, anything goes. We see Po using the terrain and surroundings to do most of the fighting. You can also say that Tai Lung was a bit unlucky to have encountered such items and such terrain where Po is at his best. This shows that in a real fight no matter how skilled you are, anything can happen. We saw Tai Lung practicing Kung Fu for Shifu for his whole life, however no amount of training or talent or fitness could have prepared him for such a scenario. Anything can happen in a fight, which is why a real fight with no rules is unpredictable.
You are missing the point completely, this is a movie about martial arts where a Panda who isn't even serious or in form defeats a trained martial artist without doing anything, Tai Lung was an absolute joke
What I always liked about this fight is that Po used every element of his surrounding during the fight, like tha pans or fireworks in. The way Tai Lung least expected
Plus in the first half, Tai Lung did beat him regardless. Only then with the dragon scroll reveal he lost his will to fight this he became unfocused while Po became more focused
Rewatching this just made me realise that the only reason Po Won. Was a mixture of luck, (bouncing off the pillar, the tree happening to bend perdectly in sinc woth Tai, Tge fireworks cart being there.) Tai Lung being unfamiliar with the chi points of nearly extinct panda's and Tai taking uneccesary hits while trying to grab the scroll rather than focua on Po, the threat at hand.
Po was never lucky, everything happenes for a reason. To be fair po wasn't trying to fight Tai but instead make him realize that their was no dragon scroll and that it was really right in front of him the whole time. Po deafeted tai after discovering that his body fat immunes him to Tai Lung's nerve strikes. Edit: Tai Lung is ultimately decimated when Po utilizes the Wuxi Finger Hold on tai (figuring it out by himself), which sent him to the spirit realm.
Tai Lung's mistake was that he was too focused on a single target that he was oblivious to his surroundings, and his single-mindedness means he couldn't adapt to new situations or unconventional fighting styles. Po beat him by using the surroundings to his advantage whenever an opportunity arose and responding quickly.
Po has a unique style of kung fu. It's unpredictable and uses a lot of redirection. Even if it seems accidental it's just natural to him. It's why he was chosen. He wins against tai lung every time. No dif. Simply because he has mastery over his self
You all notice this fight had forshadowed the next 2 films villians? Po would use fireworks to help him in this fight, in second film it told how Shen's parents had invented fireworks. Po would send Tai lung into the spirit world which would be where Kai would come from.
Man, I can only imagine how bad Tai Lung felt. Imagine going to jail for 20 years and ruining your life over quite literally nothing.

He looked at the scroll and only saw his reflection, "Its nothing". There his spirit was killed allowing po to easily defeat him
I just realized those fireworks never exploded
5:14 LOL his face when tai lung said he is fat 😂
When Tai Lung’s face when Po says “Nope” xD
Nice attention to detail there!
The sound effects make it so funny.
Fr fr
The cartoon noises are hilarious 😂
I know
favorite part of health-bars videos on childhood movies, having a comment section 😂
Man coppa really ruined
@@AdikistorysAgreed.

Po face when tai lung says "Fat" got me smiling
In aware scale its funny

When you eat 10 wheels of cheese to heal mid-fight.
LETS GO!!!!!
Tai Lung really wanted a legendary battle, and it was till the very end. Po really held himself well against his pressure point attacks as his body weight and strength kept him alive throughout the fight. Hence why Po's the dragon warrior through and through the trilogy.
The sounds effects make this fight 10 times better.
Appreciate you for leaving the comments open. Normally doesn't happen in videos of animated movies.
Because of TH-cam politics, only people with TH-cam kids can coment on those videos.
I think TH-cam auto-locks those video comments
Yeah, and it's bullshit, I think it should be up to the uploader if they want the video to be put under TH-cam Kids
Yeah newsflash, just because most videos don’t drop F bombs doesn’t mean it’s for kids. 😅
2:46 This is the most badass kick in all of animation
The force was so much it kept him still in air lmao
Dang u guys made my day 😂
Seriously, this has to be the most amazing battle ever put to animation. How they choreographed this MASTERPIECE of a film has to be STUDIED.
Tai Lung lost to Po because Po unlike your stereotypical Kung Fu warrior was different, he had an unconventional approach to Kung Fu which made him unpredictable I guess that's what master ugwe saw when he chose Po as the Dragon Warrior.
Also not to sound prejudice, but pandas did save ugwe and teach him to use chi... so kind of a premonition that way.
also he was fat... natural armor to ki type attacks
well that's what the movie is about
The sound effects were great. They made me laugh.
Tai Lung:What you gonna do?Sit on me?
Po:Sit on him minute later
This fight was my childhood
the special effects gave this fight a whole new element.
Indeed
Yep
I don’t know why but the way tai lung screams out no has stayed with me all my life and has been the primary way of me saying it since
The Tom and Jerry sound effects made it a bit funnier xD
Or Ed Edd N Eddy sound effects.
3:10 I laughed at this sound effect
? Oppening the scroll, thats all
@@jakepark7555 It sounded like a bubble pop
I’m sometimes like that
The noodles really did heal Po, nice job
Did he really gain health after eating the noodle omg this is hilarious
yeshe gain health
He loves noodles
A little.
The health regen from eating the noodles lol
PO is OP as frick
Also Po backwards is Op lol
Bout to comment on that
Tai Lung: what are you gonna do big guy, sit on me?
0:59 proceeds to sit on him 8 times in a row
Why do the Cartoony Noises make it so fucking hilarious?!
This battle was definitely legendary!
this is one of the best and funniest fight scenes ever I love this movie and tai lung is my favorite part of this entire film if y’all agree
The sounds make it like a Tom and Jerry episode😂
I mean, Po did sit on Tai Lung when they roll down from the stairs 😂
Still the best villian in the trilogy.
@@sivaneshbalan898 agree. Tai Lung is still great tho
@@mrpro538 Yeah true
@@sivaneshbalan898 bec shen was connected to po
Except po doesn't have claws
You are missing the point completely, this is a movie about martial arts where a Panda who isn't even serious or in form defeats a trained martial artist without doing anything, Tai Lung was an absolute joke
Because they have found eternal peace
What I always liked about this fight is that Po used every element of his surrounding during the fight, like tha pans or fireworks in. The way Tai Lung least expected
Plus in the first half, Tai Lung did beat him regardless. Only then with the dragon scroll reveal he lost his will to fight this he became unfocused while Po became more focused
I love how he healed when he slurped the noodles
The attention to detail is nice.
There are no accidents
Po was never lucky, everything happenes for a reason. To be fair po wasn't trying to fight Tai but instead make him realize that their was no dragon scroll and that it was really right in front of him the whole time. Po deafeted tai after discovering that his body fat immunes him to Tai Lung's nerve strikes.
Edit: Tai Lung is ultimately decimated when Po utilizes the Wuxi Finger Hold on tai (figuring it out by himself), which sent him to the spirit realm.
Tai didn't think Po was a threat that's why he only focus on the scroll
Tai Lung's mistake was that he was too focused on a single target that he was oblivious to his surroundings, and his single-mindedness means he couldn't adapt to new situations or unconventional fighting styles. Po beat him by using the surroundings to his advantage whenever an opportunity arose and responding quickly.
Po has a unique style of kung fu. It's unpredictable and uses a lot of redirection. Even if it seems accidental it's just natural to him. It's why he was chosen. He wins against tai lung every time. No dif. Simply because he has mastery over his self
2:26 was the moment i laughed so much in the theater my dad had to make me shut up lmao
I love how tai went back and forth between po and shifu like he didn’t believe what he was seeing🥲
The sound effects 💀💀
Are so funny and fit so well
I realized that this is the first and only time that Po and Tai Lung had a scene together which it’s where the hero and villain finally meet.
Just like Kung Fu Panda 3
The sound effects are perfect for the absurdity of the fight
You all notice this fight had forshadowed the next 2 films villians? Po would use fireworks to help him in this fight, in second film it told how Shen's parents had invented fireworks. Po would send Tai lung into the spirit world which would be where Kai would come from.
I'm gonna die from laughing
Same - the slapstick effect was just brilliant 😂😂😂
YO! I love the sound effects in the video. It would've been in the movie 😞
It makes the movie even more funnier
