That face shield is toast. Looks like most of the faceshields I see down here in Argentina. New shields not available or too expensive. My buddy replaced the shield on his helmet after about 20 years. It looked much better. I have used plastic polish. It works but costs tge same as a new shield.

You can get a mirror polish on anything by gradually abrading the surface with finer and finer grit abrasive.... Up to 12000 grit or use watchmaker paste. Frankly it's not worth it. Buy a new visor and spend your time riding.

@AmazingSmart-ngth I don't think scattered light would be an issue on a different surface. However I personally would not compromise with a motorbike visor as this would without doubt be an issue while riding at night, with light from oncoming headlights. It would though be a PERFECT fix for scratched headlighs, which offen get roughed up as much as the visor you worked on. Also the cost of replacing a bike or car headlight makes your fix a very worthwhile venture.

Never tried coke. I always have used WD40. Works much faster. Use it on old headlights too. Its also the main ingredients we use in wheel polish.

Wasn't usable after refurbishment. Too many refractols , you don't wanna be thinking "oh that's not ice" it's that bit of visor that reflects funny. 😮
