If I can say one thing for Digimon World 1, it does perfectly simulate what it would be like to be a monster trainer for digimon or pokemon or something like that in real life. Your monster behaving on their own so you'd have to actually give commands in real time, and also training them to actually follow those commands, is probably the most realistic take on the genre.
Yes, yes, and so much yes. In Pokemon your monsters can only grow so far (unless you're EV/IV raising which is a bitch to do), but in Digimon you can defeat Machinedramon with Sukamon if your trained it well enough. Every Digimon can be great, it depends on how you raise and took care of them.
In next Order: All right. Gallentmon, Boltmon let's go! Gallentmon and Boltmon: We're hungry. Me: The world is about to end and you want to eat? Gallentmon/Boltmon: Yes.
I seriously even to this day can not get over how cool this whole scene is, the area music, the introduction of Analogman, the creation of Machinedramon, the battle theme transition. It's so amazingly well done!!! I love it so much.
My 1st playthrough I had Metal Graymon and thought the semi final boss was supposed to be a mirror match...then that epic finale after him...omg what a great final chapter to a great game.
When I first beat this game I had a skullgreymon, evolved from an agumon to greymon and just before machinedramon, at the 2nd to last fight, he digivolved into... metalgreymon. Considering I wanted one since I started it as a kid and it was intro, it was like a sign to keep fighting, we can do it! We won the fight easy. Our bond was so strong, we in a way, became a mega before they were a thing ( not literally but it felt like it)

Zoso9391 I know right? Another great move would have to be Full Potential, it raises your stats in battle greatly. I tried learning from training, but the game was being a dick. Might try learning it from Machinedramon "II" next time I have an ultimate like MetalGreymon.
There was also an opponent who used it. I think it was the guardmon that talks and turns your mamemon into metalmamemon. You have to go up the 2 guardmons, and talk facing down, so that you get a 3 way fight with that guardmon who has full potential.
Zoso9391 Guardromon, and I think he runs away actually. Mamemon uses it in Mt. Panorama. There's also a Tekkamon inside Grey Lords mansion who can use it too. The mansion is also where I got Thunder Justice from Soulmon. :P

First time I fought him, I won with fucking Centaurumon! xD I had to SPAM the shit out of those Med HP Floppy's. Also, I was so scared and thought it was so unfair. A fucking MEGA taking on my measly Champion. But he won!
Just, HOW? I was playing this game this year and reached Andromon and he was strong but not even close to this.. i remember i got trouble with Snow Devimons! when you advance the story and you get more and more digimons, the city grows, you get better things, which makes all the survival tasks easier and less time consuming.
Ironically enough, the protagonist (Hiro/Mameo) ended up adopting a Machinedramon as his second partner. True to his nickname, he also has a Mamemon and challenged the DW: Next Order protagonist (Either Hokuto/Shiki) to a battle, but lost
...It's safe to assume you haven't heard about the Digimon World remaster, which was localized a few months ago, Digimon World: Next Order, correct? The DW protagonist makes an appearence, now an adult and plays an important role in the story
Nope. I haven't really dig into the lore of digimon. So that's why I was asking. Where I live, pokemon is the big "go to" and I know lots of stuff even though I hardly want to know. It's freakin' everywhere
I won with Metalmamemon. His quick attacks stopped every move from starting, and I didn’t have to do anything unless I wanted to do my finisher. Anticlimactic final battle for sure. Lol
Some attacks are just OP. Megalo spark is one of the fastest attacks in the game, and also has a chance to stun. If you digimon can spam that, you win almost every battle without being hit.
If I remember correctly, this video was after I 100% the game, so yeah, I knew what I was doing. Also, playing on emulator lets you use savestates and such, so I was even playing with an advantage.

Full potential max out your stats in 4-5 uses, meaning you technically have 999 of defence, ofence, etc. Meaning the fight is easy peasy after that. Also some attacks are just plain broken (like megalo spark). It could even be possible to defeate it with a champion digimon with megalo spark and enough HP to not get one shoted because of how broken that move is. best theme for a boss..plus im not here because of the theme .... im here because ANALOGMAN IS JERK! like seriously....slaving digimon :/ and were forced to battle the shitty machinedramon
+Gamer Flozer I feel like analogman was the best villan in the digimon series. I don't think he is a jerk, but rather an idealist that has no remorse over anything.
I think he isn't in the show, because the story of this game is kinda dark. Analogman is a very dark character that wouldn't fit into a kiid's show. I do think the game didn't exploit Analogman enough. In every game he has a 5 minute appearece as the final boss. Not much of character development. But the little he has shown, it's the best villian in the digimon universe in my humble opinion. Of course, noticing that I haven't watch every digimon show or played every digimon game.

@@aqwsderxz Imagine being 10 years old in a spanish speaking contry while playing this.
If it wasn't for gamefaqs back in the day, I wouldn't have understood anything. But I get your point. I actually hate how easy today is to get frustrated and do a quick google search and find anything you want. Nostalgia hits hard.
i love next order, but the og digimon world feels more organic especially the finisher, cut scene in next order is just meh imo
Seems legit...
👍
5:30 wtf
I never understood how this game works lol
I had to play it at different parts of my life, ranging from 7-8 yo to 16 yo. Even after reading guides and such, there were many parts I didn't understand.
This video was made when I completly understood the game, which took several years. That makes a great game in my opinion, one you can't master in one sitting
Zoso9391 yea, I think as a child we thought this game was like another and we felt excited about owing digimons, but in reality, this is such a complex videogame. I'm not a native English speaker, so you can imagine how hard it was to grasp the mechanics in my childhood, I never did it haha
@@tehflooper Same here. Not a native english speaker. So playing it at such a young age was basically like a headless chicken, lol
Question. Is your gf still your gf now?
Weird question, but the answer is no
imma just...
Mugendramon*
Well, mugen is the Japanese term of mechanical things so Machinedramon is okay too.
I don't remember it being so noisy fucking hell
There's probably some bad audio mix, because this was done in a potato computer with 0 skills in editing and such. But the game was loud as fuck.
are you still with your girlfriend tho?
Nop, she cheated 6 months after this video
Why do they eat port potty
When they want to poop, if you give them that item, you earse the poop from their needs
Def chip tho🥲
best theme for a boss..plus im not here because of the theme
....
im here because ANALOGMAN IS JERK!
like seriously....slaving digimon :/ and were forced to battle the shitty machinedramon
+Gamer Flozer I feel like analogman was the best villan in the digimon series.
I don't think he is a jerk, but rather an idealist that has no remorse over anything.
+Zoso9391 but then why isnt he in the show? but he is "meh"...
Get out of there
