      Thanks Nick! By the way I have been researching on tartans since I also do upholstery and sewing. The sheer complexity of the different styles makes my head spin! The beauty of your country is breathtaking.

    Hi Fulton, I’m thrilled to see the results you achieved using card stock! Yes, affordable for sure as well as a great substance to work with. The images are beautiful, dream like, and your added collage, striking. Thank you, love them all. Sending you blessings for a wonderful weekend Fulton, thank you for all you present and teach.❤️💫🙏🏻

    Hey there! I loved the way you started out explaining as you you usually do.. and at some point, you stopped -- and we had a chance to watch you work. And work, you did! By the third pull (or fourth?) when you were brayering with the transparent yellow, things went all Monet. It was wonderful to see the colours blending. Really great. And you ended with this one. And it was the right place to stop. I have recently begun to stop with my last print.It's my favourite, too.
    And then... THEN you move on to collage... It's a whole OTHER level! You're great... and I love to watch you work and teach. Thank you... so much! 😘😘🥰🤗

    Thank you Fulton for using cardstock and 8x 10 gelli plate for us like me who cannot afford a larger Gelli plate and expensive paper.
    Love, love, love the effects of the Sharpie marks.

    Thank you so much for this video. I am new to using a gelli plate and was thinking about the cost of experimenting with watercolour paper. It's so much easier to freely explore when not counting the cost. Arohanui from New Zealand.

    I use cardstock quite a lot for prints and really like it as well as the more expensive multimedia paper. My only concern has been that it may not be acid-free.

    • @artwhisperer88
      @artwhisperer88  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      always check the package before buying. Most commercial papers now are acid free to prevent yellowing and falling apart. Also if it doesn't say what percentage of cotton fiber most likely the components are made of recycled paper.

    Love magenta !! Especially with orange …….makes me feel happy looking at those colours together 🤩💕🤗
    Am so glad you enjoyed using the card stock, Fulton !!
    Card stock is very popular as it is so reasonable to buy, especially if you do lots of prints.
    I tend to prefer the weight to be not less than 200gsm, ( 110 pounds ).
    I have tried slightly lesser weights and they are actually not too bad….they feel like heavier weight copy paper……but overall from choice, the 200gsm (or nearly ) card stock looks and feels better and is sturdier.
    It would very expensive to use top quality water colour paper all the time and quite prohibitive for general practice use.

    I enjoy the decisiveness of your work. My experience with cardstock is a disaster (even with good-quality stock). My medium was too wet, and I had to stretch it when it dried. Your pieces are still great alone, but the collage really improves them. The texture of the Blick watercolor paper is spot on. Thank you for sharing your experiments. What a great adventure. Magenta piece (chef kiss)! Many blessings, Fulton!

    Goodmorning - lovely prints. How do you number a ghost print ?

    • @artwhisperer88
      @artwhisperer88  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      a ghost print is still 1/1 because it is a unique image different from its parent.

    Gorgeous, gorgeous work as always! You use colors I’m so afraid to mix for fear of getting mud and it always works beautifully. Note to self, no fear! Can I ask how much you dilute your mod podge? Would the same apply to gel medium since I just bought a container of Nova Gel Medium?

    • @artwhisperer88
      @artwhisperer88  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      About 1 part water to 3 parts glue, but every situation varies, you'll need to experiment. Like all good cooks you use what you have on hand. Gel medium should work nicely as an adhesive 😊
