The i7 is hands down an absolute winner. The front may divide opinion but it is a masterpiece of a vehicle overall.

Looks like BMW and Mercedes designers have swapped places. Its hard to believe that the i7 is being quoted for back seat comfort and the EQS called for being a drivers car! That said, the i7 is a lot more car than its counterpart, looks stately, futuristic and a great back seat too - which for a well accomplished business man/woman would be the ideal daily run car. The EQS seems more like the CLS (derived from the E class rather than the S Class) and misses out a lot of creature comfort esp in the back. And if there is an electric maybach S then that is what the i7 should be compared with - it simply seems way above the EQS' league. But then what will Merc's answer be if the RR Spectre comes in..... Interesting times and interesting space.

I never thought I would write a comment saying the BMW i7 looks better than its counter part.
Ludhiana, Punjab has already seen its 6 Pcs of i7 in a month...

BMW i7 by far the best designed BMW's ever had. BMW has evolved and is far ahead in interior design when compared to the EQS. A perfect dreamer for me.

Iam a big Mercedes fan I drive a Mercedes but to say the truth I have test driven both of them i7 is farrrr better in terms of looks driving quality tech range except performance only advantage added to Mercedes now is the performance.. i7 any day the best
the i7 should be compared with the maybach eqs(as it is a comparison of flagships)

I prefer the looks and sheer presence of the BMW over Merc. In terms of rear seat comfort as well BMW shines better with added comfort features.
If you think the EQS has only this much power to offer, wait until you see the AMG version of the Driver's Luxury EV.

Sorry but i diagree with your verdict, the i7 should be the winner.
It has better back seat comfort and features (v important consideration) in this segment).
Except for ride comfort and range, it has all the other points covered compared to eqs.
If this was a i5 vs eqe comparo the easier manoeuvrability and faster pickup would be given more priority. But in this segment i believe the rear seat should be given top priority.
But i hope bmw gives priority ang brings an i7 without the 32 inch screen and preferably local assembly for 1.7 lakhs.

i7 grows on you. It looks futuristic, has amazing features and standout persona. Only if I had my budget, I won’t have look for anything else. I am also loving that ugly grill now!

EQS is just focused on electric segment not luxury like S Class. So the point is…. If they really want to compare in luxury segment then better to bring Mercedes S 500.

Keeping that EQS's interior clean is going to be a nightmare.
i7 has got more of a road presence and looks more appealing than the eqs .Altjough the performance of the eqs looks on par with bmw .But interior ,luxury and overall comfort looks better in i7 though.
I am just going to say it. Both cars need to be designed properly on the exterior. The interiors are undoubtedly good, but the exteriors are not in my opinion. Are they timeless designs? No. If you are paying that price, cool isn't enough, it should be timeless. And with time, both designs won't age well.
The I7 has a perfect balance of luxury and performance.

The Mercedes any day of the week by a long shot. The i7 is an absolutely ugly brick while the Mercedes is much sleeker and streamlined. And overall luxury is spectacular in the Mercedes. I really don't care how far you can recline in the rear seat or if there's a 31" display panel when I will never be sitting there. Coupled with the superior EQS performance and the Mercedes EQS is a no brainer.
i7 is as big as RR Ghost. i7 is also cheaper to run.
Big let down by bmw -- for making to many touch screen -- bring back buttons
