Wrong way to weld on a tow truck

Locker for the flat tow bed was welded onto the top of the truck chassis frame (illegal) it’s supposed to be bolted on not welded as you can’t weld on the frame from rear of cab to the rear axle.

My 04' F550 has the exact same issues. Now I'm down for a week without revenue. I am so disappointed with people who cut corners. The people who do it right are usually the ones who spot the issues. Sounds like you did a proper walk-around. Good job brother. And my condolences.
