The transmission has bigger belts. It's high performance vehicle. It feels like driving a truck truck suspension and you got a $30,000 civilian vehicle. Another $20,000 government vehicle. My friend has a 2010 chevy express van with only 69,000 miles

My buddy also has a 2013 Chevy 2500 Express van with the 4.8L with the 6 spd. Automatic transmission. The transmission just failed at 190,000 miles. The transmission shop charged him $5000 to rebuild it. It kind of amazed me, because the 3/4 ton pickups with the 4l80e transmissions usually lasted till 280,000 miles on those transmissions.

What is the key slot next to the driver door for?

My 04' F550 has the exact same issues. Now I'm down for a week without revenue. I am so disappointed with people who cut corners. The people who do it right are usually the ones who spot the issues. Sounds like you did a proper walk-around. Good job brother. And my condolences.

Sounds like a blower motor or a bad actuator

It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

Edit; I looked at your page and realized this prob wasn’t your personal vehicle but maybe you’ll have insight anyways, original comment; Hey Josh, how has this vans engine held up for you? I am about to purchase a 2012 transit that was converted to CNG it has such low miles I had to jump on it with 21K on the dash. 🤯 the damn web is filled with conflicting statements and somewhere in between lies the truth I’m sure. Also that body style connect has SUCH an easy engine to work on that I am prepared to replace the head myself even if the valves fail do to being exposed to high heat. As they make valves that are specifically made for compressed gas that seem to be made of a stronger material I’m guessing. Any way hope alls well just thought I’d ask someone with actually experience instead of off hand accounts and theories

I love my 2007 Ford Crown Victoria P71! Today it is in outstanding shape. Even though it has 185,504 miles and 6,136 idle hours. Over the last five years I've owned it, I have rebuilt the transmission at a premium Speed Shop for $3.8K. Water pump, alternator, starter, rear axels, and rear wheel bearings, all with lifetime warranties. Intake manifold, injectors & coils. This car sat in a body shop for a very long time. The front and back doors on the passenger side do not match the vin#. No frame rust, but my next project is to replace both front quarter fenders and a new paint job (it is white, so it will stay white. Right after I had a new set of "W"(168mph) rated tires installed. I took her out for a run. Yes, the P71 isn't the fastest thing off the line, but at 155mph she makes you feel like you're only doing 40mph. She just sets down on the road and goes, All around my neighborhood people have these new cars and SUVs, yet I know, for a fact, that I could chase each and every last one of them right down into the junkyard and still drive away. Not even these newer cop SUVs/Trucks would stand a chance in a durability test. It is truly the beast of beasts. I'm so proud to be the owner of such a clean example of the 07 Crown Vic P71

I know this is so late but for anyone who needs it it’s the output shaft sensor or code p0720. This is what makes your truck drive forward. It fixed mine. My 2004 f150 would just rev up in drive and only move like 2mph
