2:24 if we use only َفعلت
So it would be right or not?

    • @Fascinating_Arabic_Phrases
      @Fascinating_Arabic_Phrases  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Hello @affys_world! 🌟 مَرْحَبًا! 🌟 أَهْلًا وَسَهْلًا بِكُمْ! 🌟 السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ! 🌟
Regarding your question at 2:24 about using *فعلتَ* (faʿalta) instead of *فعلته* (faʿaltahu):
Both are correct but have slightly different meanings:
      - *فعلتَ* (faʿalta) means "you did" without specifying an object. It’s more general, and you might need to specify what the action refers to in a separate phrase.
      - *فعلته* (faʿaltahu) means "you did it," where *"hu"* (هُ) refers to "it" (the action or thing that was done). This is used when the object of the action is already clear or implied, like *مَا* (what) in the sentence.
      So, in the sentence:
      *هَلْ أَنْتَ نَادِمٌ عَلَى مَا فَعَلْتَهُ؟*
(hal ʾanta nādimun ʿalā mā faʿaltahu?)
"Are you regretful for what you did?"
      - If you use just *فعلتَ* (faʿalta), it would still be grammatically correct, but it would be less specific, and you'd have to clarify what "you did" elsewhere.
      Hope this clears things up!
      Best regards,
      Veysel Özel

6:49 .. is in nominative case نادمون?
And after ليس it is in accusative case نادمين ?
I know that the object gets single fathah and double fathah.
    But not getting this one
    Could you please explain?

    • @Fascinating_Arabic_Phrases
      @Fascinating_Arabic_Phrases  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Hello @affys_world! 🌟 مَرْحَبًا! 🌟 أَهْلًا وَسَهْلًا بِكُمْ!
Great question about *نادمون* (nādimūn) and *نادمين* (nādimīn)!
      Let's break it down:
      1. *نادمون* (nādimūn) is in the *nominative case* because it's a plural masculine noun that acts as the subject of a sentence. When the subject is in the nominative case (as in the sentence *هُمْ نَادِمُونَ*), we use the ending *-ūn* (ونَ) for the masculine plural.
      - Example:
      *هُمْ نَادِمُونَ عَلَى تَرْكِ أَصْدِقَائِهِمْ.*
*"They are regretful about leaving their friends."*
Here, *نَادِمُونَ* is in the nominative case because it is the predicate of the sentence, describing *هُمْ* (they).
      2. After *لَيْسَ* (laysa), the situation changes because *لَيْسَ* is a negation particle that makes the subject accusative. The subject of *لَيْسَ* is now considered its "subject complement" (خبر), and when *لَيْسَ* is followed by a plural masculine adjective or noun, it takes the *-īn* (ينَ) ending, which is the *accusative case* for plural masculine nouns.
      - Example:
      *لَيْسُوا نَادِمِينَ.*
      *"They are not regretful."*
Here, *نَادِمِينَ* is in the accusative case because it's the predicate of *لَيْسُوا* (they are not).
      ### Summary:
      - *نَادِمُونَ* is in the *nominative case* (ending in *-ūn*) when it’s used as a predicate without negation.
      - *نَادِمِينَ* is in the *accusative case* (ending in *-īn*) when it's used after *لَيْسَ* or other negation particles.
I hope this helps clarify the difference! 😊
      Best regards,
      Veysel Özel
