Not at all. The only reason this album is getting attention is because no one expected Clairo to make a decent album. The only thing charming about it is the production and a couple of songs. There is nothing particularly interesting or original on this album.
@@I_Try_Make_People_Laugh I totally agree with you on that. My personal favorite songs of hers are Bags, Amoeba, Zinnias, Thank You, Add Up My Love, and Glory to the Snow. I couldn’t pick just one favorite.
i love clairo so much, please react to her other 2 albums Immunity and Sling!! also Charm & Brat are my absolute fav albums right now, they're both so different yet so equally amazing
@@emerson_vettel yeah I found out about him through watching some other Clairo reactions. Whole genre of music basically just got added to my playlists.
@@zoñani connor is a fan of her already, kevin says in the beginning of the video he's only heard "bags" before, so they can for sure do the rest of her discography which would be awesome
Terrapin holds a special place in my heart! If anyone has any music reccomendations that sound similar to that track in particular, please let a girl know!
me too!!!!! a lot of the alessi brothers stuff gives off similar vibes and i know claire referenced ‘seabird’ as an inspiration to another one of the tracks on the album but honestly i’ll just recommend them wherever i can!!!!! seabird and london are my favourites!
If you’re looking for something that’s similarly poppy but has those complex piano lines check out connect by vampire weekend from their new album this year, it’s maybe a bit louder than anything from Clairo but I found that Terrapin scratches a similar itch for me!
i literally just searched up charm reaction was disappointed that you guys haven't reacted to it yet and i went to my home page and the video was right there lmao
Seeing her in Portland beginning of October and it feels like the perfect time of year to experience the album live. I agree about the winter fall vibes
I started listening to clairo last year and she’s been on repeat since. so glad I grew my music taste. Charm is an amazing album to me and I hope everyone likes it as much as i do
You guys are Canadian in the best way possible, your contentment listening to these songs, your complements all added insight to why I loved this album so much its a very quality review, I liked and subscribed!
I saw Claire live this month for the Charm tour and it was an incredible experience, her music really is so immersive!! It’s definitely one of my favorite albums of the year.
Worth noting: When talking about Add Up My Love, he mentions the song Lotta Love as being a song from Linda Ronstadt, but it was actually a Nicolette Larson song. Although, Nicolette and Linda were on the same record label and considering he was talking about listening to old 45s, it's an understandable mix-up.
Sometimes reactors miss my favorite parts of songs or albums in their reactions, not you guys. Every little piece of each song that I LOVE you guys make sure to point out and articulate. Keep up the great work guys.
I got to see Clairo live last summer (and boygenius; it was a damn good show). I adored Sling, but I felt some of the songs lacked energy, were a little too stripped back. Her band added so much depth to those songs, especially Partridge. I could not believe how incredible the live version of that song was (I exclusively listen to the Electric Lady recording of that song now). This time around, it's as if she captured that feel and used that as the foundation of the album. It's what makes this her best record yet. I'm gonna do whatever it takes to make it to her nearest concert. I hope y'all get to see her in Seattle; she's incredible!
This has been my comfort video ever since it came out. I always come back to this reaction when I'm not having a good day. Thank you! Love from Brazil 🇧🇷

You guys should delve into the big crown label. Big crown has effectively been bringing back this sound and instrumentation you are both hearing. That's thanks to Leon Michels. I have never been a big fan of clairo besides liking bags and Shelly. Knowing that Leon produced this with clairo I didn't realize how perfect of a pair it would be. You both should check out his El Michels affair outfit and menahan street band. Big crown has a lot of great artists which clairo references lady Wray as an inspiration. You can also hear menahan all over this album along with holy hive, brainstory, thee sacred souls, etc.
