And the design team of FDev have done a great job making these spires visually stunning even on computers that shouldn't be able to run Odyssey in the first place...👍

But then if they gave us a space-bicycle I suspect you'd figure out how to ramp the spires with *that* 😄 Love how these spire sites are offering new challenges to CMDRs of all professions, from xeno researchers/hunters to extreme sports enthusiasts.
Excellent! It's not actually as hard as you might think. It's all about hitting that kicker really, that's far more important than the run-up or your speed. I'm actually using this technique for harvesting spire refinery materials now, it's safer than recalling your ship! 😆
Much better use of the thargoids structures than just mindless shootings. Awesome video and awesome challenge. For some reason I cannot get my mind to shoot thargoids. I wish there was a way for Elite to allow for players to play the Thargoid side and then to have this war. It would be fun. And If Guardians come back it would be awesome. Guardians as AI civilization are somewhere in the Galaxy.
Outstanding vid, played Elite for a few years as a very introverted player, really didn't travel with other players much. It's always amazes me the things you could see in this game. Why did we loose such a great piece of work from the Xbox platform is still a mystery to me. I see a great game here, just needs to polish the game play to reflect what the players wanted and not what FDev wanted. It could have continued to make money and be a main staple of Xbox game play for many more years. I don't understand. ...anyway, what an incredible place. What a great video.👍
Thanks! Yup, loss of console support was a huge screw up. FD bit of more than they could chew with Odyssey, couldn't make it run with decent performance on those platforms and then had to make the difficult decision to abandon it. Epic fail. I'm guessing you didn’t manage to jump across to PC?
Nope....I just didn't want to invest the effort, it was too much for me. No console game should force its player base to migrate to another platform to continue enjoying the same game you've already invested so much time and effort on. Thats a failing proposition for a program that's supposed to be enjoyable.
