Bobateababy18 I feel like that was their plan all along at the beginning of season 2 while preparing for season 3. Majority of the people that watched this show only watching because of the Brio ship, including me. In season 2, they writers rlly developed their relationship and that’s what tuned people in more and that’s why their show got renewed. Maybe their initial plan wasn’t even to development the chemistry between these two but now that there IS another season I feel like their bent on destroying that relationship and mocking the viewers who shipped them. It’s frustrating.
I think that if instead of Beth pretending to be pregnant at the beginning of the season, if they had actually made her pregnant, it would have made for a better storyline. It also feels like a dropped ball that they never explored why Beth inserted herself into Rhea and Marcus’ lives after she thought she had killed Rio. Pretty sure it was just to be able to have some part of him still in her life. Also, I don’t think Beth actually meant to shoot that first bullet when she shot Rio. The second 2 bullets, yeah, she meant those ones, but I think it was just self preservation at that point because when she realized she shot him and saw the look on his face with him coming towards her, she thought he would kill her. I’m disappointed that instead of Beth getting Rio to see that she wasn’t actually trying to kill him, which would make a better segue into repairing their relationship, she is actually trying to have him murdered. HATE THIS. As for Dean, I think I’m one of the few people that actually like him. Probably because I love Matthew Lillard. He and Beth are NOT a good match though. They should just let them divorce and have him as the amicable ex-husband. As if Covid isn’t horrible enough, now we’ll be 5 episodes down from the 16 we were supposed to have, so you know the “finale” will be completely unfulfilling. I swear, if the show ends on a non-ending then doesn’t get renewed, I will have a meltdown. I freaking hate when shows do that!
They're not trying to destroy Brio. Brio was never actually i intended to be a thing. How their relationship is now is needed for the show. Beth and the girls are growing into the crime world now that Rio isn't shielding them from them. Yes it's frustrating to see Beth and Dean together but it's needed. Because that's usually how many marriages work. There's no love between them, from Beth side. She dosen't care. And we have seen how Dean is about Beth and Rio. Implying that it's not just business between them. The angst is good.

What happened to this show? Most of what has happened in season 3 already happened in the previous 2 seasons... We just keep going around in circles. Beth had so much more confidence last season, where did that go? She's back to letting everyone walk all over her. Now they're just making one mistake after another and we always know what the outcome will be. They're smarter than that. I was really hoping Rio would end up working with or for the girls. Together they each bring something to the table & that would've been wild to see them working together on the same team. They need each other. For me, everything went bad in the season 2 finale, it took all the fun out of the show. I'm now struggling to watch it and don't think I'll make it to season 4 if there is one. It doesn't feel like the writers have a clear direction for the show. They've created some of the most intriguing characters, but not doing them justice. I feel disappointed, but maybe that's just me.
Me too, This season has been so confusing, Also Annie side story is boring, when in season 1 & 2 she was on fire. Ruby for me still the strong character with her family issues.
I still haven't watched the last 2 episodes I recorded whereas last season I watched every show on the day it aired. I knew when Beth shot Rio the whole dynamic of the show was shifting into a new direction. I wish the producers and writers of the show would've given us one more season of Brio before shooting Rio and changing everything we loved about the show.

If you’re referring to the development of Rio and Beth’s chemistry then let me share my opinion why there’s a lack of it. Maybe their chemistry wasn’t supposed to evolve at all but viewers were so intent on them being together that the writers took that and switched it so where another season got renewed and that Brio ship supposedly ended. Just my opinion on this.
Nah Jenna Bans,the entire crew,Christina and Manny all decided to go with the BRIO chemistry thing after the 1st couple of episode of Season 1,and continued to follow through with it all the way till this season(Season 3).Jenna Bans said in the very beginning,before she started filming the show,she had no plans or intentions of them being a thing.Jenna Bans said she made a joke one day about how "it would be funny if Beth and Rio ended up wanting to be with each other",not even being serious about it happening.They just happened to have alot of chemistry when they would be in scenes together.All the crew said "you watch, Beth and Rio are going to end up hooking up" so they all ended up agreeing to making Beth and Rio a thing,and sticking with it.Jenna Bans said "it turned out way better than we thought it would,so we'll be sticking with it"

I know most fans, including me, want BRIO love scenes again but I think it takes time if the plot is considered. In Rio’s POV, He got three shots from someone he liked and even before that he kinda rejected several times (like Beth blocked him, said goodbye and gave money after sex) so he needs time to forgive and trust her again. It would be very weird and hard to understand them if Brio happens so quickly. So let’s be patient and hope the writer develops their relationship!
He used the gun as leverage. She touched the gun but he picked up with chopsticks (with his saliva in the barrel 🤦🏽♀️) . If she ever decided to go against him again, expose the business, take it from him, etc, he will frame her for murder. Her prints are all over it. Why don't Beth think about that? I don't think Rio and Beth’s ”relationship” was meant to last. There has to be some switch up somewhere, or else it gets to predictable and stale. Infatuation and attraction happen, it doesn't mean they'll lead to love and a happily ever after. It's just business at this point.

This season only has 11 episodes right? So we are two weeks from the end, and where are we? I can only assume the season finale is going to have a bunch of convenient things happen and probably flashbacks to tie things together and a cliffhanger. Great.
The show was supposed to have 16 episodes originally. But the virus got production shut down early so now there is only 11. Which sucks because people are going to complain about the finale without stopping to realize that it wasn’t the original finale and isn’t the fault of anybody’s other than the virus.

Rio saw something in Beth last season and saw her for who she is and the Dubbh scene and the bedroom scene like why are y’all dead set in destroying them they literally are what got people excited about the show and renewed and y’all are tossing it away with thus repetitive and lousy hit men plot like come like she’s not thinking about Rio as a father anymore,or the fact that if she succeeds then what his gang isn’t gonna come after her?, or the next person she gets involved in crime with is gonna be as nice as Rio has been like come on what the heck is this show even aiming for anymore the gurus aren’t even criming anymore they’re struggling ugh
Bobateababy18 I feel like that was their plan all along at the beginning of season 2 while preparing for season 3. Majority of the people that watched this show only watching because of the Brio ship, including me. In season 2, they writers rlly developed their relationship and that’s what tuned people in more and that’s why their show got renewed. Maybe their initial plan wasn’t even to development the chemistry between these two but now that there IS another season I feel like their bent on destroying that relationship and mocking the viewers who shipped them. It’s frustrating.
I think that if instead of Beth pretending to be pregnant at the beginning of the season, if they had actually made her pregnant, it would have made for a better storyline. It also feels like a dropped ball that they never explored why Beth inserted herself into Rhea and Marcus’ lives after she thought she had killed Rio. Pretty sure it was just to be able to have some part of him still in her life. Also, I don’t think Beth actually meant to shoot that first bullet when she shot Rio. The second 2 bullets, yeah, she meant those ones, but I think it was just self preservation at that point because when she realized she shot him and saw the look on his face with him coming towards her, she thought he would kill her. I’m disappointed that instead of Beth getting Rio to see that she wasn’t actually trying to kill him, which would make a better segue into repairing their relationship, she is actually trying to have him murdered. HATE THIS. As for Dean, I think I’m one of the few people that actually like him. Probably because I love Matthew Lillard. He and Beth are NOT a good match though. They should just let them divorce and have him as the amicable ex-husband. As if Covid isn’t horrible enough, now we’ll be 5 episodes down from the 16 we were supposed to have, so you know the “finale” will be completely unfulfilling. I swear, if the show ends on a non-ending then doesn’t get renewed, I will have a meltdown. I freaking hate when shows do that!
They're not trying to destroy Brio. Brio was never actually i intended to be a thing. How their relationship is now is needed for the show. Beth and the girls are growing into the crime world now that Rio isn't shielding them from them.
Yes it's frustrating to see Beth and Dean together but it's needed. Because that's usually how many marriages work. There's no love between them, from Beth side. She dosen't care. And we have seen how Dean is about Beth and Rio. Implying that it's not just business between them. The angst is good.

Beth thinks she hard core and thinks she can go to the same lengths he can. She cannot and he's letting her know she ain't ready. Dean is annoying however I see him has a necessary comical foil for Beth. The characters I am annoyed with are Stan snd Ruby's bratty daughter.

What happened to this show? Most of what has happened in season 3 already happened in the previous 2 seasons... We just keep going around in circles. Beth had so much more confidence last season, where did that go? She's back to letting everyone walk all over her. Now they're just making one mistake after another and we always know what the outcome will be. They're smarter than that. I was really hoping Rio would end up working with or for the girls. Together they each bring something to the table & that would've been wild to see them working together on the same team. They need each other. For me, everything went bad in the season 2 finale, it took all the fun out of the show. I'm now struggling to watch it and don't think I'll make it to season 4 if there is one. It doesn't feel like the writers have a clear direction for the show. They've created some of the most intriguing characters, but not doing them justice. I feel disappointed, but maybe that's just me.

Me too, This season has been so confusing, Also Annie side story is boring, when in season 1 & 2 she was on fire. Ruby for me still the strong character with her family issues.
I still haven't watched the last 2 episodes I recorded whereas last season I watched every show on the day it aired. I knew when Beth shot Rio the whole dynamic of the show was shifting into a new direction. I wish the producers and writers of the show would've given us one more season of Brio before shooting Rio and changing everything we loved about the show.

If you’re referring to the development of Rio and Beth’s chemistry then let me share my opinion why there’s a lack of it. Maybe their chemistry wasn’t supposed to evolve at all but viewers were so intent on them being together that the writers took that and switched it so where another season got renewed and that Brio ship supposedly ended. Just my opinion on this.
Nah Jenna Bans,the entire crew,Christina and Manny all decided to go with the BRIO chemistry thing after the 1st couple of episode of Season 1,and continued to follow through with it all the way till this season(Season 3).Jenna Bans said in the very beginning,before she started filming the show,she had no plans or intentions of them being a thing.Jenna Bans said she made a joke one day about how "it would be funny if Beth and Rio ended up wanting to be with each other",not even being serious about it happening.They just happened to have alot of chemistry when they would be in scenes together.All the crew said "you watch, Beth and Rio are going to end up hooking up" so they all ended up agreeing to making Beth and Rio a thing,and sticking with it.Jenna Bans said "it turned out way better than we thought it would,so we'll be sticking with it"

I know most fans, including me, want BRIO love scenes again but I think it takes time if the plot is considered. In Rio’s POV, He got three shots from someone he liked and even before that he kinda rejected several times (like Beth blocked him, said goodbye and gave money after sex) so he needs time to forgive and trust her again. It would be very weird and hard to understand them if Brio happens so quickly. So let’s be patient and hope the writer develops their relationship!

I don't think Rio and Beth’s ”relationship” was meant to last. There has to be some switch up somewhere, or else it gets to predictable and stale. Infatuation and attraction happen, it doesn't mean they'll lead to love and a happily ever after. It's just business at this point.

This season only has 11 episodes right? So we are two weeks from the end, and where are we? I can only assume the season finale is going to have a bunch of convenient things happen and probably flashbacks to tie things together and a cliffhanger. Great.

Which sucks because people are going to complain about the finale without stopping to realize that it wasn’t the original finale and isn’t the fault of anybody’s other than the virus.

I did read that they had added three additional episodes to the original 13 but then I saw that it was 11. Lmao and I know many of y’all are unsatisfied with the way things for between brio this season, but this is only being realistic. We need the angst, the anger, and the grudges so then later all their feelings will unravel on season 4. This is basically what I consider to be a typical love-hate story, and in my opinion, I like the way things are with brio. I don’t think they should become an actual couple, because then it would take away the excitement of the the little fling that they got going on. Besides, I feel like they’re destined to remain as nothing more than business partners who hook up from time to time anyways
