This rc car truck has a real wood bed! The WPL C44km is a cheap 4x4 rc kit that is under $100. This rc car comes with most of the electronics. The instructions could have been a little better, but it sure looks good assembled. This rc truck is definitely a shelf queen in our opinion.

Nice little truck, and I like the burlap bag on the bed. Abby might have rolled it a couple times, but she found the "more funner" places to crawl. ❤️ those RC Saylors! ⚓👍👍

Now that's cool. An ole Toyota or International Scout. I love kits. When I started in RC everything was in lit form. I freaken want one of those. Sounds like it has good torque.
With a bit of weathering it would look like an old Toyota truck that a miner has put together to get to his mine out in the remote regions of the Nevada desert and mountains. :-)
Both we're great, but Abby had the best pick. With a little work that FPV car would be a blast.
Love it! I've got three of the WPL trucks now and I think I'm going to get this one too. Love the burlap take on extra battery! I've done some creative things to stuff extras on my trucks, but that's the best scale method I've seen. They can be pretty good crawlers with a motor swap and the dual speed transmission. The one downside they all seem to have is being top-heavy. I end up using metal wheels for the added weight, I even replaced the stock plastic chassis bits with 3D printed versions with metal filling to help keep it upright.

I have One of those little wpl u have to adjust the gear push or Pull the white thing to the micro servo to adjust and then u can abuse it with no problems!

I agree with Abby. The FPV car is the most fun. I just tried mine indoors in complete darkness with a single LED up front. The other rc cars were good but nothing special. Although this last one looks cool.
I like the term Model Grade rc nice looking I love the wlp kits I built the honcho copy one and upgraded everything. Fun times building won't be a performance rc but a shelf queen. I want this one

One thing that I noticed,is that your rear shocks are mounted in the wrong place,they should be mounted one hole back,i.e. straight up and down,rather than angled forward. That's why the truck wants to roll over backwards.
O yeah my favorite little rigs! If you use the WPL V3 esc receiver sound kit with tx you will like the performance on the 2 speed gearbox with that combo. You have reviewed a Ural 6x6 truck made by this same company a while back. They make some nice scale looking stuff and they always improve existing models and are coming out with more cool rigs. As always I enjoyed the vid!
LOL I was gonna tell em to check out your WPL builds, but here you are. Some of the folks in the FB groups have been building some wild rigs. Seems like everyday someone puts together a crazier rig than the day before.
I really like this truck. It looks like it is a military truck from the fifties turned into a farm truck. Just wish the motor was a little bit stronger then it would be a decent truck. Thanks for the vid.

I will say, this is a bit of a challenge to put together compared to something like an Axial. Instructions aren't as good, but once it's together it does look great doesn't it?! Thanks for tuning in brew!

Nice truck detailed very well. Ran well. Abby found the best spot for climbing. I also agree, Nate you do tend to get lost in the R.C. story/ flying/crawling, and do forget about her. Then you remember just about the time the only battery you have dries up.😂🤣😂🤣😄😄😉😉😉. Definitely a nice truck 1.000 piece build, I draw the line at 800 pieces. 😋😋😋. Good review⚓⚓👍👍💗👍💚⚓⚓.

They have an option for more powerful motor and I think you could even put brushless in the there's a lot of hop UPs for the jpls.

You can get upgrades for these bigger stronger motor and then there a lot better but yeah quite a good little truck I like it cheers!
This still needs to be a Tamiya. And by the way, is having a 40% off sale on from other kits you should look into it.
I just found a similar kit like this on amazon of a red Toyota truck for like 32bucks id love to see that one and if it is actually usable for any amount of time or not!
put the 370 strong magnet and it will crawling like CR12 team associated! change the tire makes more grip! i did it!
WPL has a huge following and a big modding community, the owners are very engaged and cool too! Parts for their trucks are free on their website

Tons of upgrade options on banggood for these wpl models and most of it very cheap compared to 1/10 models. Light kits, metal upgrades, better servos, motors, and oil shocks which is probably the best upgrade you can give it.
my fav was the FPV car also. you all should have driven it inside also. i've added FPV to several of my 1 2/4th RC's and drive them inside. we create inside courses to race on.
I have one of these waiting to be built,for the money you really can't get any better spec wise. The only thing it needs is an MG servo to finish it off.
All wpl are good looking. And cheap

Love that it has real wood slats on the bed, but broken parts kinda kills it, but it is nice that it has some of the metal parts the cheap wpl kit owners usually want to upgrade anyway.

Did you guys use the 2 spd gearbox? Seems like you were only in one gear, maybe low range would keep the gears from slipping

Love the videos, good job Abby on driving it , I have several #wpls and yep they are not hobby grade out of the box,however there are a lot of aftermarket parts and with some creativity they can do a great job , half the fun is building them , check out the C-14KM and the C-24KM, cool lil 16th scale trucks with lots of 3D printable parts available on thingiverese. I've got the mn99s and after a few mods it actually performs pretty well. Would have gone up that river rock pile in this video no problem. They are great if you are into modifying and making stuff work that wasn't intended to work with them. Seems like there was something funky going on with the truck in this video though, I've seen relatively stock kits do some pretty impressive things.
This would be a cool truck to mod. Better tires and a more powerful motor. Put the battery back under the hood to get more weight up front.
You should try some of the budget trucks that is always advertised on wish. They have a pretty cool looking deuce and a half.
We STRONGLY advise that all of our viewers (friends) NOT buy Anything on Wish. They are crooks. 😡

Ah okay, I didn't realize that.
Let me try and explain myself a little better. Take this vehicle for example, it would have been very cool to see an up-close look at the car and what's in the box (and I don't mean a separate unboxing video) before you take it out for the field test. Maybe a brief montage of you building it or setting it up would be cool.
Basically, just more detailed looks at the car or plane or drone or whatever it may be, while you're inside and have control over the lighting.
These are just some of my thoughts. I'm not criticizing you so please don't take offense to this.

Even though I know today’s FJ pickup has weak gears, weak u-joints, mediocre electronics and tires that won’t stay on the wheels without being glued, I think it looks pretty cool and it would be my favorite.
The white 12428 clone would be a close 2nd.

You know if that battery heats up that burlaps going to burn and then you going to have a problem.
We always preach safety with batteries! Never put your batteries in a situation where they could catch fire. Each time this battery is charged, it should be removed from the decorative bag. 👍⚓😎
