Michelle Troconis' request for public defender granted ahead of appeal

Michelle Troconis was back in Stamford Superior Court Tuesday, this time asking for a public defender and to have fees waived as she readies her appeal.

She couldn't do any worse with a public defender than with the bozo she had defending her for the trial. Schoenhorn was not worth whatever fees she had to pay him. He did a terrible job with her defense. He was relentlessly irritating and generally unlikeable. If I was a juror waffling at all over my decision, his conduct would've pushed me over the edge to a guilty verdict. Of course, even the best defense attorney would've had a hard time with the facts and evidence in the case. Might as well go with a public defender.
