4:57 the "U"-part of that spring has just snapped for me yesterday and the Cub Cadet stopped moving. I had no idea where to actually attach it to on the frame, so your video was really helpful in that regard. Now I just need to find a new spring. Or maybe I can just bend a new "U" on it...
HI, It would probably be difficult to bend a new "U". If you heat it up, it'll weaken it and it won't last. If you get your model number from under the seat you can go to a website like www.partstree.com and plug in that model number. From there you can get the parts breakdown and get the part number for the spring and get a new one...
just working on my xt1 now... It has an electric clutch. The clutch easily came off, but I'm not sure how to get the front drive pulley off so I can install the belt. On my tractor you don't have to remove the rear transmission fan. The belt will go over/around it.
HI.... The pulley assy should come off pretty similar to this one. I don't remember but is the bolt for the PTO the same bolt that holds the drive pulley on? If I remember right it is. once that clutch is off the pulley should come off too.... If it's not wanting to come off tap it a few times with a hammer in an area that won't damage anything.... Of course it'd be better if I could see it!
Best video on this topic I have found. Well done!
TYSM for the great feedback! So glad I could help.
