How long should the basecoat dry before flake spray?
Can I get more information on that midnight blue, what base is used on it and what else do I need to get that results

Hey I have a 72 Chevy Impala and I want to paint the undercarriage comic black with the all the flakes can I just used the cosmic black base coat or will I need your candy black paint
Cosmic Black is a candy basecoat. You would just need to spray over black.

Hey I had a question say I wanted to do this as a test on a piece of my motorcycle ,I wanted to do the royal purple 100% dark ,but didn’t have all the equipment needed would there be a option to do it by aerosol can only ?

Quick question I’m looking at the sunburnt base coat with matching flake. So the way I would shoot that is step one grey primer, then base coat 3 coats, then matching flake mixed in intercoat 3-4 coats, then clear

I really like the look. I have a Chrysler purple base coat that I’d like to use and not go to waste. Would it look bad if I used one of the purple flakes over it? Or is it crucial that everything matches?
flakes do not necessarily need to match the base coat, sometimes flakes and paint compliment each other and just look good even though they do not match.
I order the rum runner with the platinum plus metal flake should I still spray with inter coat or spray the rum runner over the flake

looks like the flake really pops on the black base more then any other color/shade of base. I have a old Manco 3 wheeler I want to paint with a purple heavy/big metal flake look. Basically like it looks on your example with a black base. Problem is the body is made out of ABS plastic. I know the look i want can be done with many layers but from what you say, i can get the same effect with your stuff and less layers, that sound about right? and what needs to be added or done so the paint lasts on a semi flexible material like abs? any specific flex additive? do all coats get the flex additive as well?
You should use adhesion promoter on the plastic.
I’m looking at doing some deep purple flames on my challenger and I want to add flakes. Will your base handle.008 & .015 and should I purchase 1 or 2 quarts?
where do the snowflake/jingle shells/birthday cake type flakes come in? is that only going to be used with a white base and color? can you mix them w darker colors?
Those Metal Flakes are semi transparent so you can spray them over any color and they will blend well

I wanted to do luscious purple but wanted to do a little bit of metal flakes to reflection off the sun what color do you think would go best with it I was thinking of the black onyx
I hit um up about the seductive cherry, they dont have flakes that match perfectly like the ones in this video for the seductive and luscious paints, so youd have to paint a spray out with the purple then find the closest flake to it if you wanna match it, it really depends on the look your going for, when you get up close youll see little specks of the onyx contrasting with the purple but do a spray out and if you like it go for it
