    That's a hell of a creek crossing. My company was never allowed to dig with water flowing like that that's crazy. We had to either make a dam and pump it around which sucks or have a piece of pipe in the flow line and dig under it. Creeks like that we had to bore under

    Great question. Once the section is in place we load enough water to establish negative buoyancy. Then we verify sufficient cover beneath the river by surveying. When that is confirmed we fill the section completely and backfill.

    Very good work, but for those who do divers, I think it is very dangerous. What if the excavation collapses, can the diving person be saved?

      Great question. The trench line was solid rock and required hydro hammers to break the rock and excavate so it was very stable. Thanks for watching.

    After getting it lowered in place, did they fill the pipe section with water to keep it from floating?

    • @martinpaz7638
      @martinpaz7638 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Michael Post floating lol boss man u talking alot of weight here

    • @cntslesfabrication
      @cntslesfabrication 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@martinpaz7638 you are correct about alot of weight but if it was capped it would float not very good but it would. The person who made this video said that they had to allow enough water into the pipe while installing it so it would float. But I'm no expert at all. LOL

    The guy with the first sideboom going across that bridge must have had his ears perked right up for cracking sounds. ;-)

    • @cntslesfabrication
      @cntslesfabrication 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Definitely I would have been to. Did you notice the temporary road right at the bridge start to fall in as the 2nd side boom started putting his weight on the bridge while the first side boom still had his weight on it

    I know dumb question but what’s this “dead man missing”
    I know their wasn’t a dead person involved but what you mean?

    • @moondogwy
      @moondogwy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No stupid questions my friend. Just stupid answers. The dead men are the 12” By 30’ anchors on all 4 corners of bridge. As we carried pipe section in to install one deadman anchor gave way and fell in center of trench underwater. Couldn’t retrieve it without divers to hook up.
