Ford Motor Company needs to bring the Ford Focus back to America
Tom Snyder: Canadian viewer. I agree but Ford of North America is releasing another SUV, all electric...wait for it, called the Mustang. I think that sums up the current state of affairs at Ford. In a word, pathetic.
Tom Snyder the Focus being as it had a well known transmission defect was Fords ugly duckling in America and ever since the class action lawsuit Ford most likely saw fit to just Axe the model and use the “were getting rid of all passenger car” excuse to get rid of the problem.
@@RAY-THE-WAY The new generation Focus hatchback with 6-speed manual is great, or with 8-speed automatic that actually fixes the issue with the faulty "Powershift" transmission. There's really no reason for them NOT to bring this outstanding car to us. It's mismanagement from a CEO that came from the Furniture business!

Also made me realise that this car comes with puddle lights. Little things like that make me a geek out - please don’t Stop putting in details like this in your future videos. I agree with you 100%. If they bring us this car, I will buy one, as will so many other Americans who enjoy driving. It looks soooo much better than the competition, and it would be great daily driver with the manual transmission. Let's contact Ford Customer Service to tell them what the customers want in the USA!

I really wanted a focus st. By the time I was in the market to get one; ford decided to axe everything but boring SUV’s. That is why I ended up in a wrx.

Tell them THEIR AMERICAN CUSTOMERS want the all-new generation Fiesta and/or Focus hatchbacks with MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND CONVENTIONAL AUTO OPTION in the U.S./Canadian market. If all their customers are telling them, they'll listen and bring us BACK by popular demand these best-in-class driver's hatches. There's a reason these cars are best-sellers in Europe, they are the best cars to drive in this price range and have the best shifting manual gearbox too! Had the the mk3 st and the mk3 RS ,loved the mk2 RS but couldn't afford one at the time but that mk4 is minging ,ok nice wheels and nice rear end and ok from the side but the front is actually minging

Sure Ford has its roots in the US, but Models for the European Market, like the Fiesta and Focus are actually designed and developed in Cologne Germany. This is also the HQ of Ford Europe and production Center for the 1l Ecoboost Engines. The Focus and the bigger Ecoboost Engines are produced in Saarlouis Germany. Ford has deprived you of the Focus because they want to shift to only SUV Models. But here in Europe the demand for small City Cars and Hatchbacks is alot bigger than in the US, so they need to keep the smaller cars.
@@danielleroux6490 I like your enthusiasm, but Ford really does not care. They want profits and the sad truth is most Americans just love the gas-guzzling pickemups, SUVs and crossovers. Why so many people prefer these is completely beyond me, but until American consumers change we will not have Ford cars.
ST, ST Line and ST Line X, whats the diference ?
ST Line/ST Line X have the sporty appearance/suspension but with the "standard" Ford Engines... The ST has the more powerful engine.

Are you referring to the previous generation Focus' powershift dual-clutch automatic? That problem has been fixed by the all-new 8-speed automatic option in the regular Focus. The new Focus ST has a great 6-speed manual or a new 7-speed auto option. The previous generation Manual Transmission didn't have the problems of the old automatic
@@danielleroux6490 The problems that Ford had with the "Powershift" were fixed in the 2016 and later models. I have a 2013 SE, had the dealer replace the "clutch pak" with the latest version (done under warranty), put 30K miles on it since the upgrade, car runs SWEET (for an automatic). Yes, I miss the "third pedal", but the "XYL" can't drive a manual, she HAD to sign off on the purchase. I wish I had stayed single! Live and learn!!
@Ryan Sawyer I never had a transmission problem in 7 years of ownership, but then again I'm running a MTX75 manual gearbox that was originally designed in 1992.
