Middleton Railway - 9th June 2024

A couple of months, Sir B went off to Beamish. Whilst there, she broke down - the exact cause was unknown, but believed to be a serious defect with the cylinder block. With this in mind, she went back off to Middleton, with all of us quite tense, with the prospect of her being out of service for a good few months and a very expensive repair looking likely, we were all intensely relieved when we found that it was only the gasket connecting the cylinder and the steam pipe! This was quickly fixed, with Sir B coming back into traffic, and to celebrate I popped down to see its return on the way to the Talyllyn! Here's the video - enjoy!
