The gt top lip over hangs the canvas and attaches with 200 screws every 2 inches or so. The screws can leak but the seam is really tight. Pops up to 6'3 pretty easily. I have not raised the top with anything on the roof yet. Some tiger owner add assist springs. Anyway. I think it maybe the coolest vehicle ever made. Awd can sleep shit shower shave feed four people and can go through a drive through or parking deck before it goes backcountry or down the highway at 85mph.
Like any other pop-top, the canvas/vynyl will eventually age and break down, epecially in a wet climate, even (and some times especially if the top it seldom extended. However, extending the top a lot in the summer, when most people camp, will subject it to UV breakdown. An upholsterer can repair/replace the top fabric, but it's expensive.
I certainly love mine. You can see it at my opening video. The top holds up well, but don't put any weight on it. I have a 165 watt solar panel but it's at the extreme aft end.
@@vidguy007 i have recently found one of these vans i am extreramly interested in, with that being said you mentioned on putting weight on it. even when the pop top is down do you not recommend? was planning having solar, maybe a surf board or two , and or creating a little lounge area for the top, is that something i should aviod? ill have to replace the pop top for the vehicle anyways before starting travels. Do you know by chance how i would go about that for this rare van ?
Wow! The first minute and a half shows our own Tiger, just as we first saw it in front of the seller's house, right before we drove it home from California to Connecticut. We've fixed it up a bit since then...
I certainly love my Tiger. At 1:10, the bottom bunk isn't made up correctly. The back removes, the bottom cushions slide over, and the back then fits the space. The cushions you don't use store under. They got it wrong at 2:00 also The bed should be square, not stepped. The top bunk is the same size, so it fits on top of the bottom bed. Looks correctly made up at 3:40. I really hate seeing vandalism in the name of "improvements" like at 4:41. (Personal opinion) You should see some of the butchery people have done to those things. The designer was a genius, leave it be.
Check Colorado Craigslist. They were originally made out here. They're on that site once every couple of months 7500 up to 15k. Which is really inexpensive when compared to other class b and b plus rigs.
That is an adorable camper! Do you have one? I wonder how the top holds up. I'd love a 4wd! Very cool
I was bidding for one, but lost 😎

I considered buying it myself, how is it running, it was so clean.

I own the CX model of 🐅
Bad ass!
Thanks for watching
If only they weren't insanely expensive... parts are avalible off the shelf to swap in a 350sbc to the Astro chassis
That's what makes this doable. They are a bit rare but not so much as to be unfixable.

Used ones are not that expensive for what you get. Try the owners group www.tapatalk.com/groups/tigerowners/
@@Mrdrivereight I can't seem to find any, if you see something please let me know...
Thanks
