I learned a hack from my fashion masters in Australia, about how you can secure you collar together in the finishings.
Basically before you close you lining and outer shell hem, you reach up toward the collar and grab the seam allowances of your collar, stick the outer and inner seam allowances together from sh-cb-sh.
(I don't know if this made any sense, but thought I would share a cool hack I learned from my teacher here)

Gorgeous jacket! This is so perfect for this remnant of berry wool fabric I found at a thrift store. I can’t wait to make it.

The main part of the the garment would be called the body. The jacket is lovely. Was the boucle lined with a knit? Good luck with the 100 000 subscriptions!

Hey I’m currently sewing through this pattern in a larger size. So far it’s been a nice sew but I got to the lining part and I got confused. All of my lining pieces are somehow about an inch shorter than the shell and facing in my size. Do you have any tips for how to redraft these pieces? I see in the video that your front lining and facing match length but mine do not. Thanks!

Your videos are so inspiring! I’m just finishing up a coat which I couldn’t have managed without your videos.
I’m in Germany and I wondered where you buy your pattern paper and what it’s called in German?

      I Order it on a roll , it’s called „Schnittpapier“ in German ☺️

Did you use the original jacket to make your first pattern? Or did you use your jacket block?

    • @THISISKACHI

I used my dress block for the first jacket and removed all darts!

do you ever buy clothes? like going to the mall, browsing the stands, finding something and buying it? or is it like you're going to the store and think to yourself "oh i can sew this myself and do a better job" LOL... i'm just wondering....
