  • The Pajero has been part of Australia’s greatest adventures since 1983. Its revolutionary technology has been tested to triumph in some of the world’s most gruelling conditions such as the Dakar Rally. With the launch of the 17MY Pajero, The Australian Bushman, Jamie Hazelden takes a closer look at what makes this iconic 4WD such a legend.

    I bought a brand new Pajero in 2017 and I took it in the Australian desert in sand dunes and across creeks it drives like a beast = nothing stops it and in town it drives very well too. Spacious, comfortable, the non assuming King of the road for me. I recommend it if you are looking for a reliable 4x4. Pajero is built in Japan (you heard about the "zero default" theory in economics?) and it has won 12 Paris Dakar (a "little" modified yes but same car), Started construction in 1982. Has been proven/ tested. Spare parts everywhere, excellent after service and staff. built to last, Serious monocoque and transmission, gear and torque (3 tonnes). Unbeatable for its value as well. When I drove across the sand dunes I did not have any issues whatsoever... Real car for safe adventure.

      And its 3.2 Turbo Diesel engine is proven / tested too and is a beast !! Drives forever, cannot die.

    Mitsubishi Pajero, Beautiful looking of roader, I have the good fortune to own a 2017 model a joy to drive. It drives like a car on the road and Brilliant off road with it's Super select 4 wheel drive. The 3.2 liter Diesel engine is very good on mpg. I'd have no problem in having another Pajero 👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍👍.

    Getting up that steep bit of red mud/clay towards the end of the clip was impressive for a car with what look like road tyres on it, just shows how effective the Traction Control system is (in conjunction with the Diff. Lock).

    I love it, however I can't believe Mitsubishi has not addressed the spare tyre that hits your tow hitch unless aftermarket tyre lift is fitted, and 18 inch tyres are considerably more expensive than 17 inch. Is still great value for money compared to competitors

    • @mickymollinedo
      @mickymollinedo 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      good point, but the start button and keylees entry would be a great upgrate for the Montero/Pajero, as a luxury SUV, they can try to build a classic Pajero like Toyota (land cruiser 70 series) or only have the basic models with normal key :)

    • @humbertorubi4947
      @humbertorubi4947 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Micky Mollinedo Well Micky if the lack of keyless entry or the start button is important for you to consider this SUVobviously this is not the one for you. Don’t want to be rude but this is nonsense. A start button just add more electronics to get un configured. Same with this new electronic hand brakes.

    I am currently in the process of purchasing another 4x4 and I am finding it very difficult to decide what to choose. The Mitsubishi Pajero is one of the final three, however this video may have restricted my decision and made me far more cautious regarding the fuel economy of the Pajero. In the video it shows the small display above the centre screen and the Fuel Economy average reading displayed is 12.5 L/100Km, yet later in the video we are told the fuel economy is 9.1 L/100Km. What is the truth?
